There were three divisions, the gold division, the silver division and the high school division, and there was tons of talent for all collegiate levels. If you’re interested in watching the conference tournament, you can get the play back on cbglivenetwork.com.
The winners of the three brackets were:
Gold: Scotland Red (National)
Silver: Phelps School PG
High School: Scotland Campus Black
Here’s a look at part two of the standouts from the Pennsylvania teams in attendance.
Lucas Henderson | 5’11” PG | Scotland Black (PG) 2022
Henderson opened the conference tournament with the biggest bang of them all, as he went for a super impressive 59 points, and despite his team losing a very close game to a good Olympus Blue team he showed he can flat out fill it up with the best of them. The 5’11” guard out of France is a bucket in every sense as he is crafty off the bounce and can create space at multiple levels, he’s a good finisher when he gets in the paint and converts three point plays and gets to the line often, he can knock down shots from deep off the catch and off the bouncer and he has a good midrange game too. He simply knows how to score the ball and play the game while being the main ball handler.
Christian Clover | 6’2” CG | Scotland White (PG) 2022
Clover plays for the other post grad team that took place in the silver division, and the strong combo guard was the main reason they made the championship game before losing to a talented Phelps School team, but he showed he’s a scholarship level player who needs more looks. At 6’2” he has a great frame and is strong with the ball and able to get in the lane and make plays for himself and others, he has takeover ability which he showed going for 45 points to keep his team close in the championship game, he can knock down shots from deep and in the midrange as well as finish at the rim and he just has a winning gene to him you have to love.
Ro Cooper | 6’6” C | Scotland White (PG) 2022
Cooper may be slightly undersized for his position, but don’t get it twisted as he plays much bigger than he is and he is super productive both as a scorer and on the glass as well as on the defensive end. Cooper is a high motor forward who knows his strengths and plays to them, he runs the floor hard and plays hard on both ends of the floor, he finishes well in traffic and can play through contact and he has that all out style of play and hustle that makes winning plays on both ends of the floor for his team.
Khalil London | 6’3” PG | Scotland Red (HS) 2023
London is a player who could blow up this summer on the AAU circuit, as he has all of the tools that division one schools look for in a point guard with his blend of size, athleticism and scoring skillset. The New York native transferred to Scotland this year and will likely play on the post grad team next year, and when I tell you he can flat out ball I mean it. He has good quickness and speed with the ball in his hands, he’s a strong and explosive finisher around the rim, he makes plays in transition for others and he brings a toughness and competitive spirit to his team as well.
Blake Barkley | 6’8” PF | Scotland Red (HS) 2023
The West Virginia native was arguably the most consistent producer for this Scotland team in their run to the conference championship, and the 6’8” forward has a lot that coaches will like when they’re able to get out and see him this summer. He already holds multiple division one offers, and with his size, motor, athleticism and skillset there’s going to be more of those to come here soon. He’s a high motor guy who runs the floor and finishes above the rim, he can knock down shots from deep and in the midrange and he gets after it on both ends of the floor.
Brant Byers Brant Byers 6'8" | PF Newman School | 2024 NLG | 6’8” PF | Scotland Red (HS) 2024
Byers is a local kid from right in Chambersburg, and he showed a lot of potential moving forward as he has a good frame with good length and moves well, as well as the ability to impact the game in a number of different ways. He’s already able to play above the rim in transition and rebounds well and protects the rim, he can step out and makes shots from beyond the arc, he plays with good energy and he has good feel and IQ on both ends of the floor. He’ll be a guy to watch over the next few years if he continues to develop and grow his game.
