With the NCAA transfer portal jamming up high school recruiting, we expect there will be a host of extremely talented players who switch schools this spring / summer. Many of them will reclass into a later graduate year.
At Prephoops.com we will do our best to track all the player movements and pass that information on to our readers.
Below is the fourth installment in our Transfer Watch 2024 series.
Larry Brown Larry Brown 6'6" | PF Coatesville | 2026 State PA Jr. – 6’3” / 2028 / Penn Charter / SFM Elite / Wing: Brown is a 3-sport athlete (football & baseball) who is headed to Penn Charter from Norwood Fontbonne Academy (Phila., PA). Obviously, Brown is extremely athletic. He is also a multi-skilled player. However, it is the tenacity, grit, and toughness that he brings to the court which should have Quaker hoops fans excited about his addition. The upside on this incoming freshman is limitless.

The Tigers are adding an electric guard with the handles and basketball IQ to create scoring opportunities for himself and for his teammates. Kennedy is also an accurate 3-point shooter. His combination of size and skills present serious matchup issues for opponents. In 2023-24 Kennedy starred at Coatesville where he posted 17 points and 6 rebounds per game. He was named a 1st Team All-Ches-Mont as well as 1st Team All-Area.

His tremendous season was recognized with 1st Team All-Central League as well as 1st Team All-Main Line selections. Mobley is a ridiculously athletic and versatile prospect who contributes to every facet of the game. He can splash jumpers at all three levels, score in transition and slice to the rack for a lay-in. Mobley recently announced on social media that he will attend Fork Union Military Academy for a post graduate year.
Nile Tinsley – 6’5″ / 2025 / Florida Coastal Prep / PA Hoops Academy / Wing: This athletic point-forward prospect contributed 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists per night last season for Cheltenham. Tinsley is a long, solidly built (200+ lbs.)and versatile prospect. He can drain threes, score at the rim and in the mid-range. Tinsley will surprise college coaches with his ability to get out in transition as a lane filler or ball handler. Last weekend at the Pitt Jam Fest, Tinsley averaged 17 ppg. and scored a tourney high of 24 points. Tinsley recently announced that he is taking his talents to Florida Coastal Prep for a post graduate year.
