Player of the Year: [player_tooltip player_id="956868" first="Pryce" last="Sandfort"], Northwest (2023)
Stats: 26.6 points, 10.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.4 steals, 2.9 blocks, 52.6 FG%, 40.5 3P%, 89.2 FT%

Sandfort put together a remarkable season in Northwest's first as a school, leading 4A in scoring, finishing third in rebounding, and leading the class in blocks, all while posting ridiculous efficiency numbers (53-41-89 shooting splits) as a 6-7 wing. His 190 made free throws and 213 attempted free throws were both best in the state and his 70 made 3-pointers ranked within the top-15, regardless of class. He had an absolutely dominant two-way season and is a deserving Player of the Year honoree.

Stats: 15.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 2.6 steals, 56.7 FG%, 72.5 FT%

The future Iowa State point guard was named Mr. Basketball and for good reason, as he capped off a stellar career with a state championship and was absolutely dominant on both ends of the floor in the process. A quick-twitch athlete with a remarkable feel for the game, he makes the game look effortless on both ends and is equally content getting others involved or scoring.

[player_tooltip player_id="682265" first="Trey" last="Campbell"], Cedar Falls (2022)
Stats: 24.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 2.2 steals, 54.3 FG%, 42.4 3P%, 84.8 FT%

The future Northern Iowa point guard has long been known as a dynamic defender and facilitator, but with significant personnel losses the Tigers needed him to be a dominant scorer this season and he delivered in a major way. One of the fastest players in the state, he doesn't rely solely on his speed, doing an excellent job playing with pace and setting up his defender. He has also really emerged as one of the best shooters in the state, getting the ball into his shooting pocket quickly and showcasing unlimited range.

[player_tooltip player_id="682278" first="Trey" last="Lewis"], Johnston (2022)
Stats: 21.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.9 steals, 47.4 FG%, 37.1 3P%, 84.8 FT%

Speaking of unlimited range, the player affectionately called "Logo Lew" by his AAU team put together an incredible season for the Dragons, helping lead them to their second consecutive runner-up finish in 4A. Lewis really emerged as a dominant rebounder and playmaker from his lead guard spot this season, leading the Dragons in scoring and assists and doing an excellent job on the glass despite being listed at just 6-0. He's headed to play his college ball at Division II Drury.

Stats: 19.9 points, 7.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 2.4 steals, 1.5 blocks, 59.4 FG%

The future Iowa wing suffered a devastating leg injury late in the season, which really hurt the Lynx's chances to make it to the state tournament, but Dix was dominant when he was on the floor, stuffing the stat sheet in the way that we've become accustomed to seeing. Few players in the state are able to impact the game in the way that he does on both ends of the floor on a nightly basis, using his high IQ, length, athleticism, and talent to control the game offensively and provide versatility on the defensive end.

Second Team

[player_tooltip player_id="1158260" first="Ruot" last="Bijiek"], Valley (2022)
Stats: 17.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.3 blocks, 54.7 FG%, 37.7 3P%, 79.2 FT%

A rangy 6-9 forward who can score inside and out, protect the rim, and control the glass, Bijiek had a big senior year for the Tigers, who were one of the best teams in the state. He really picked up his play following the injury to [player_tooltip player_id="962490" first="Eli" last="Raridon"], taking over on both ends of the floor and showing why he’s a prospect that college coaches are really intrigued by. He’ll spend next year at Link Year Prep (MO) in an effort to continue to elevate his stock.

[player_tooltip player_id="1055294" first="Cameron" last="Fens"], Hempstead (2022)
Stats: 18.7 points, 11.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 2.5 blocks, 63.4 FG%

The recent Illinois-Chicago commit emerged as a dominant two-way player for the Mustangs as a senior, using his 6-10 frame to control the painted area on both ends of the floor. A late-bloomer who could end up being a major steal for the Flames, Fens has good hands and touch around the rim and is a mobile and versatile defender who can switch on the perimeter and defend the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id="956877" first="Kenzie" last="Reed"], Kennedy (2023)
Stats: 12.9 points, 3.2 rebounds, 6.7 assists, 1.4 steals, 45.9 FG%, 40.3 3P%, 75.0 FT%

One of the best pure lead guards in the state, Reed does an excellent job playing with pace, changing speeds, and playing in the pick-and-roll game. He has fantastic court vision and loves to get others involved, and he displayed his ability to take over games as a scorer this season as well, especially in their state tournament win over Northwest.

[player_tooltip player_id="956876" first="Chase" last="Henderson"], Hoover (2023)
Stats: 22.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.7 steals, 43.9 FG%, 87.0 FT%

One of the quickest guards in the state, Henderson is a shotmaker who can fill it up from all three levels in a hurry. He gets end-to-end as quick as anyone in the state, is a solid defender, and has limitless range on his shot. He looks like he’s primed to have a big summer.

[player_tooltip player_id="682277" first="Trevion" last="Labeaux"], Ames (2022)
Stats: 15.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.4 steals, 57.9 FG%

A springy athlete who finishes extremely well around the rim, controls the glass, and is a versatile defender, LaBeaux was a huge piece for the Little Cyclones in their championship run with his dynamic play on both ends of the floor.
