5 Best: Normal Community vs Moline

<p>Two of the top teams in central Illinois clashed in Pekin on Tuesday night as Normal Community (32-1) battled Moline (25-4) in a clash of the titans.  Normal Community just had too much up front in this one for Moline to handle as they took home the win 61-44 to advance to Friday’s sectional final in Collinsville against Quincy.  Here are the prospect that made noise in <strong>5 Best: Normal Community vs Moline</strong>!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="996062" first="Zach" last="Cleveland"] (Normal Community – 2022)</strong></p> <p>The versatile Liberty commit is a face up four that is one of the more athletic front court players in the senior class.  That was shown as he threw down an array of dunks including a one handed hammer along with missing a 360 to end the third quarter.  Excellent rim runner in the open floor that gets up and down the court like a guard.  Can play through contact inside finishing and getting to the foul line.  Like what he brings as an area rebounder with his toughness.  Quality passer as well.  He had 10 points and 9 rebounds.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1157233" first="Jaheem" last="Webber"] (Normal Community – 2024)</strong></p> <p>Webber has high-major big man written all over him.  At 6’8” with a huge frame he moves well for his size and dominated on the glass when he was in the game.  Snatches boards with his strong hands in traffic.  Missed a pair of short shots and didn’t convert a couple dunks on the gather, but he more than made up for it as the game went on.  Threw down several huge dunks and also altered shots on the interior with his shot blocking presence.  He is a wall down low!  Went for 12 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks.  Best basketball is ahead of him!</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="996063" first="Trey" last="Redd"] (Normal Community – 2022)</strong></p> <p>Really like what we have seen from Redd this summer.  Quick and shifty guard is a valued D2 point guard because of his ability to run a team.  High IQ guard that makes sound decisions as a passer, can break down the defense, and finishes well in the paint.  Nice floater game and is a capable pull up shooter.  Active hands on the defensive end causing steals.  He had 15 points.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1172774" first="Braylon" last="Roman"] (Normal Community – 2024)</strong></p> <p>Roman is a 2024 name to track.  Athletic shooting guard that is a spark plug for this team bringing instant offense off the bench.  Hit a three off the catch, mid-range jumper, and got to the line for 7 points.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="989274" first="Brock" last="Harding"] (Moline – 2023)</strong></p> <p>The best player on the floor in this game was on the losing team.  Moline’s star point guard did everything he could to keep his team in the game.  He had a few turnovers early on trying to force some passes, but then he carried his team the rest of the night.  Dynamic with the ball in his hands changing directions on a dime with his excellent ball handling.  He made an array of threes in this one along with several pull ups inside the arc.  Split the defense a few times for his floaters and scoop shots, but it was tough with the Normal posts in there.  He had 28 points on the night.  Mid-major prospect.</p>
