Starting Five

[player_tooltip player_id="850702" first="Prince" last="Aligbe"] of Minnehaha (2022, forward). Where is Minnehaha Academy going to be in the Class AA state title race? Last night the Redhawks beat 15-2 and 6th ranked Maple River 57-54 led by 34 points from [player_tooltip player_id="850702" first="Prince" last="Aligbe"]. I would say Minnehaha will certainly be a factor.

[player_tooltip player_id="1220360" first="Chiddi" last="Obiazor"] of Eden Prairie (2023, forward). Obiazor took over the second half scoring a good portion of his 29 points while grabbing 15 rebounds. The Eagles earned an important two score win over Minnetonka putting EP in sole possession of first place in the Lake Conference (half game lead on Wayzata).

[player_tooltip player_id="1144102" first="Sam" last="Hoffman"] of Farmington (2022, guard). Hoffman consistently shows that he is one of the better shooters in the senior class and last night his several threes and 25 points. The Tigers beat Lakeville North 84-50 and earned an eye opening victory.

[player_tooltip player_id="1284213" first="Seth" last="Newbern"] of Robbinsdale Armstrong (2024, guard). Seth scored 30 points and grabbed eight rebounds leading the Falcons to a two score win over Anoka. Newbern made the plays for his team to win the game down the stretch. Newbern continues to look like one of the better sophomores in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id="962256" first="Buay" last="Koak"] of Lyle/Austin Pacelli (2023, guard). Koak finished with 29 points and eight rebounds leading his team to a win over Grand Meadow. Koak has had a great season so far and after a rough week he put up a big time effort.

Next Up

[player_tooltip player_id="850712" first="Malcolm" last="Jones"] of Prior Lake (2022, big). Jones scored 25 points last night (reason 1 for being on the list). Jones led his team to a nice win over Rosemount (reason 2). And Malcolm scored his 1,000th career point (reason 3).

[player_tooltip player_id="962212" first="Boden" last="Kapke"] of Holy Family (2023, big). Boden had 29 and then took an early season as the Fire blew out Delano and continued their recent success. Kapke had yet another double-double.
