Photo: James Quinn (BQPictures.com)[/caption]
Below is a review of five additional players who transferred schools during the spring/summer 2021 and had a major impact for their new program during the 2021-22 regular season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1315682" first="Ryan" last="Dunn"] – 6’7” / Senior / Perkiomen School / NY Jayhawks / Wing: To say that the former Long Island Lutheran (NY) standout made an impact at the Perkiomen School during the 2021-22 regular season is an understatement. Dunn scored 11.9 ppg., led the team in rebounding at 7.2 rebounds per game and handed out 2.4 assists per game. This slasher style wing plays above the rim and can finish with authority. His jump shot continues to develop into a legitimate weapon. At the other end of the court, Dunn is an elite perimeter defender who can guard 2 through 4. With his length and foot speed, he typically covers the opposing team’s best guard/wing scoring option. After receiving 20+ college offers, Dunn committed to Virginia.

[player_tooltip player_id="1013075" first="Carson" last="Howard"] – 6’7” / Junior / Archbishop Wood / Team Final Black / Power Forward: The legendary Lacey HS (NJ) double-double machine (18.7 ppg & 12.7 rpg. in 2020-21) jumped right into Philadelphia Catholic League action and did not miss a beat. Howard earned a spot in the starting lineup right away and his interior scoring, especially on second chance opportunities was a major addition for Wood. Additionally, his solid pick-n-roll game and mid-range jumper were excellent compliments to Wood’ elite perimeter attack. Howard is also a tremendous rebounder at both ends of the court. During the 2021-22 regular season Howard averaged 9.4 points and 8.8 rebounds per game while shooting 54% from the field. In acknowledgement of his stellar regular season Howard was chosen as a 2nd Team All-PCL selection.
[caption id="attachment_1167458" align="alignleft" width="232"] [player_tooltip player_id="1281811" first="Izaiah" last="Pasha"] (C/O 2023) from Cardinal O’Hara.[/caption]
[player_tooltip player_id="1281811" first="Izaiah" last="Pasha"] – 6’5” / Junior / Cardinal O’Hara / Team Final Red / Combo Guard: Out of the avalanche of players who transferred during the spring/summer of 2021, Pasha (formerly of Central Dauphin East) may have been the most impactful one of all. Pasha’s downhill, attacking style of point guard play provided an up-tempo pace for O’Hara’s offense. When he played off the ball, Pasha added a much-needed wing scoring punch to their lineup. He can shoot the three at a solid clip (41%) and his ability to finish at the rim with either hand is amazing. Pasha posted a regular season stat line of 16.4 points, 7 rebs and 3. 6 assists per game. Pasha’s highlight of the season came when he recorded a triple double (20 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists) vs. Archbishop Ryan. His incredible 2021-22 season was recognized with a 1st Team All-Philly Catholic League selection. Pasha currently holds an offer from Sienna.

Preist Ryan– 6’6” / Junior / Perkiomen School / All Ohio Red / Power Forward: Ryan’s game is that of a traditional power forward. He is a tough, interior presence who does his offensive damage (9.3 ppg.) in the paint via post moves or second chance opportunities. The combination of a high basketball IQ, good court awareness and an unselfish nature makes Ryan an excellent passer out of the post. He also competes on the glass at both ends (4.5 rpg.). Whether he is starting or coming of the bench, Ryan’s intangibles made him the ultimate glue guy for Perkiomen’s lineup. During a nine-game stretch of elevated play that began in mid-January, Priest averaged 16.6 points per contest. Included in that span was a season high 28 points in win over Scotland Campus. He also registered two other 20-point performances in that period.

[player_tooltip player_id="1393685" first="Seyphon" last="Triplett"] – 6’1’ / Junior / Westtown School / PSA Cardinals / Combo Guard: Triplett’s jump from Putnam HS in Massachusetts to the Westtown School turned some heads, but it worked out very well for the Moose. He is a scoring point guard cut in the mold of Stephon Marbury. By that we mean Triplett is an extremely confident, attacking, style of player who gave the ‘Town lineup an edge. That swagger will make him a tremendous asset at the collegiate level too. This season Triplett (11 ppg. & 5 rpg.) finished numerous fast breaks with impressive flushes. However, this 2023 prospect had two put back slams in a win over Academy of the New Church that were absolutely poster worthy. We had no idea Triplett had athleticism and hops on that elite scale. His quick first step, blow by dribbles and efficient jump shot are other facets of his skill set that college coaches love. Triplett’s noteworthy performances from the 2021-22 regular season include scoring 23 points in a win over Blair Academy (NJ) and stuffing the stat with 21 points, 6 rebounds 4 assists in win against Phelps School. He now holds a handful of DI offers, and we expect more to come pouring in soon.
