We all talk about the top players in the state, and they are well deserving, but let’s take a look at some of the good role players I have seen from AIA playoff teams.

[player_tooltip player_id="1155294" first="Mason" last="Taylor"] Sunnyslope (Featured image)

If Taylor can get anything close to a repeat of his championship game performance, it will be a long run for the Vikings this postseason. Mason quietly does a little bit of everything for them such as solid defense, rebounding and knocking down the open shot when available.

Dallas Marker W 6’3 2023 Valley Vista

A shooter who helps to take pressure off of Isai. I’ve seen Dallas run off 3 or 4 treys in a row. He’s also added slashing to the goal to his game and is a solid rebounder. He will have to play big for them in the playoffs.

[player_tooltip player_id="814515" first="Connor" last="Fitzgerald"] Brophy Prep

A heady shooter who picks his spots and doesn’t make many mistakes. He is a nice complement to the big name players that Brophy has.

[player_tooltip player_id="814513" first="Ben" last="Egbo"] Perry

An athletic defender has been making a smooth transition to the wing. As of late he’s added a consistent 3 ball to his arsenal. The more he plays on the wing the more comfortable he will be.

[player_tooltip player_id="1275428" first="Zander" last="Kamai"] Paradise Honors

A lefty with a sweet stroke from the perimeter. When he’s hitting it opens things up for everyone else on the court. He can shoot it off catch and will create.

[player_tooltip player_id="1067124" first="David" last="Bright"] Willow Canyon

A senior forward is a unsung hero who plays tough defense and is a good rebounder. He will have to maintain his performance for Willow to make a run in the playoffs.

[player_tooltip player_id="936768" first="Tanner" last="Pate"] Mountain Pointe

A senior shooter has been clutch at times for the Pride. His shooting keeps the defense honest for the rest of the players. Ryan is also a sneaky good passer who looks for open teammates.
