To get fans ready for the playoffs, we’re updating our rankings in each Division to see which teams have the best chance to cut down the nets in March. After doing Division’s I and II yesterday and Division III earlier today, that leave us with Division IV to update.
- Richmond Heights (13-4) The Spartans four losses have come to four of the top 20 teams in the state, no shame in dropping any of those games.
- Botkins (17-1) Botkins keeps winning with defense, we’ll see if they have enough offense to go back-to-back.
- Trimble (14-0) The Tomcats haven’t played the toughest of schedules but have been dominant when facing the tougher opponents on their schedule.
- Antwerp (14-1) Took a tough conference loss but the Archers will be in the mix in a deep region 14.
- Springfield Catholic Central (18-1) Also recently took their first loss of the season but have more victories than anybody currently in the state.
- Dalton (12-3) A huge win over Lutheran East then a surprise loss and a buzzer-beater victory has shown Dalton is on a roller-coaster recently.
- River (15-1) A blowout loss to Division I foe Archbishop Hoban is the only loss for the Pilots.
- Tiffin Calvert (17-0) One of just two remaining unbeatens in Division IV, Tiffin Calvert continues to rise.
- Tri-Village (15-3) Dropped an overtime heartbreaker to Botkins at Flyin To The Hoop, maybe we’ll get a rematch in the regional stage of the playoffs.
- Berlin Hiland (13-3) Wins over Ridgewood, Garaway and Lucas are impressive and Hiland hasn’t lost to a Division IV foe this season.
Honorable mention (by region) Emmanuel Christian (11-4) Margaretta (13-3)
Upper Scioto Valley (14-1) Marion Local (12-3) New Breman (14-3)
Lucasville Valley (14-3) Caldwell (14-2)
Cornerstone Christian (13-1) Matthews (16-1)
