If you’re looking for a player who is going to get after it on the defensive end, Trevon is your guy. A lockdown defensive ace, Mitchell is willing to pick up any defensive assignment and treats every possession the same in terms of intensity. He has active hands, and that constant activity leads to a lot of shot contests and disrupted passes, and he is able to battle in the post against bigger players due to his length and verticality, fighting for every rebound in the process. Cleveland wasn’t able to finish off league rival Lincoln in a meeting at the SPU gym on Friday, dropping the contest 49-44. But Mitchell was able to help keep the game competitive throughout, hauling in 12 rebounds from the guard spot to go with 9 points and a block.
Luke White, 6’3, Guard, Redmond, C/O 2022
Putting together a more than respectable senior season, Luke White has come along nicely as Redmond’s top scoring option. With a quick release on his jumper, he doesn’t need much space or time to get his shot off and can get buckets in a variety of different ways. He is a plus athlete and is always a threat on the break to throw down a slam and does well at finishing through contact when he drives the lane and is capable of 20-plus points every night. In the Mustang’s regular season finale, he knocked down 4 triples en route to a 22-point day.
Sayerr Senghore, 6’5, Forward, Woodinville, C/O 2022
As an all-around wing, Sayerr has without a doubt played a key role in Woodinville’s success this year and can fill different roles for whatever is needed of him on the floor. With a thin and athletic frame, he can change the game on defense, being able to switch out on guards with his long arms and finds his spots on the offensive end when they come, finishing over the top of defenders with a strong left hand. He can also step outside and be a threat off the ball from deep. He’s a great utility guy to have on any team.
Xavier Santana, 5’11, Guard, Clarkston, C/O 2024
Santana showed signs of being a capable floor leader during his freshman year with Clarkston, and he’s continued his improvement as a sophomore this season, becoming one of the better players in the 2A GSL conference. A score-first guard, he’s posted season numbers of 20.1 points, 6.3 boards, adding 4.2 assists and 2.3 steals per contest. Xavier seems to shine when the lights are brightest and has a habit for making big plays in big moments to help his team get out of bad situations. Xavier has a good looking lefty jumper that he uses often, and it’s not uncommon to see him drop in 5-plus 3-pointers in a single game, and while driving left, it’s hard to stop him from getting to the cup, finishing or setting up open shots for his teammates.
Keegan Williams Keegan Williams 6'4" | SG Lynnwood | 2023 State WA , 6’4, Forward/Guard, Lynnwood, C/O 2023
Going relatively unnoticed for a struggling Lynnwood squad, Williams has offered up a bright spot for the Royals with his play. With great size at 6-foot-4 with a 6-foot-7 wingspan, he can score at all three levels of the court, using his spin move to get in the paint for a floater. From beyond the arch, he’s dangerous if you stay up, especially from the top of the key. With solid averages of 16 points and 6 boards, he’s been efficient as well, notching 54% of his shots, including 87% from the stripe, he’s a guy to keep your eyes on as his junior season comes to a close.
