Delamarr Blanton Delamarr Blanton 6'0" | CG Trotwood Madison | 2024 State OH (Trotwood-Madison)
Blanton has been impressive in his first year with the Rams after missing last season. SInce his arrival, Trotwood now has a capable PG that can balance scoring and distributing. Shifty and a solid ball-handler with great control when attacking the rim. Looks to be Trotwood’s top offensive performers currently and should be a target for D2 programs looking to add a guard in the near future.
Michael Johnson (Withrow)
I spoke of Johnson’s teammate (Alexander Parks) yesterday, but today the focus is on Johnson. The 6-foot-5 SF is one of the more athletic sophomores I’ve seen so far this season and uses that athleticism to be one of the state’s best defensive players. Johnson is an elite rim protector and can straight up jump out of the gym. His long arms and leaping is a dangerous combo. Johnson and Parks form a duo that could be a sleeper in CIncinnati.
Julius Spradling (Sidney)
Spradling is a more unknown name in Dayton due to his young age, but man can this guy play. Only 5-foot-9, Spradling has a ton of speed and quickness and is a competitor. Even with his smaller stature, the Sidney guard gets involved on the glass or can be more of a role guy at the guard spot. He has shown to be a nice secondary scoring option for the Yellow Jackets so far this year.
Jerry Easter (Emmanuel Christian)
Easter is worth all the hype in my opinion after watching him via livestream against Toledo Scott. The nationally ranked freshman has a ton of skills I typically don’t see in guys until their junior or senior years. Easter Can break a guy down on the perimeter and use the first 1-2 moves to get an open shot or get downhill. His aggressiveness on the defensive end and size makes him a mismatch and effective defender. I really like this guy as do some Division I colleges that have already offered him.
