In a match-up of Number 1 vs Number 1, Totino-Grace beat Park Center by a score in an excellent game. Top ten player performances? Here you go!

One. [player_tooltip player_id="958638" first="Demarion" last="Watson"] of Totino-Grace (2022). Watson was the game changer. He scored 17 points, blocked seven shots, and grabbed eight boards. More importantly Watson made five of his last six shots including three threes and one of those threes was late, and clutch. Watson’s defensive impact not only blocked shots but his length caused Carrington a lot of problems forcing misses in the second half.

Two. Zy’lerre Stewart of Totino-Grace (2024) The Park Center Pirates are a strong defensive team but I don’t think they took into account what Stewart could do nor did they seem to locate him quickly each possession. Stewart’s ability to get to the cup and finish or create was essential to this win. The Eagles sophomore has a toughness that his team loves and I think big things are ahead for his future.

Three. [player_tooltip player_id="850710" first="Braeden" last="Carrington"] of Park Center (2022). Carrington broke this game open early using that beautiful stroke after a dribble to lift into space and hit four first half threes. Breaden had 17 first half points and helped his team open a big lead. In the second half he only scored on four foul shots but Carrington did score 21 points for the game.

Four. [player_tooltip player_id="962198" first="Taison" last="Chatman"] of Totino-Grace (2023). I would say the biggest thing that slipped by people was how well Taison passed the basketball in this game. Just like last weekend against CDH, Chatman put players in position to score comfortably throughout the game. Taison had eight assists plus he had nine points on nine shot attempts.

Five. [player_tooltip player_id="1143878" first="Leo" last="Torbor"] of Park Center (2022). I would see Leo was solid. Not amazing, not bad, just solid. He scored 15 points on 5 of 12 shooting and dished out four assists.

Six. [player_tooltip player_id="891901" first="Ahjany" last="Lee"] of Totino-Grace (2022). Shot four times, made three. It wasn’t the scoring, it was Ahjany rebounding 11 times and more importantly blocking four shots and adjusting others.

Seven. [player_tooltip player_id="962203" first="Tommy" last="Humphries"] of Totino-Grace (2023). Had a dozen points and played solid. His second half threes were key.

Eight. [player_tooltip player_id="958729" first="Ayouba" last="Berthe"] of Park Center (2022). Berthe didn’t have the scoring game he wanted on 13 shot attempts but he did play hard totaling nine points and seven boards.

Nine. [player_tooltip player_id="1223070" first="Patrick" last="Bath"] of Totino-Grace (2023). Bath had seven points and more importantly grabbed 11 rebounds.

Ten. [player_tooltip player_id="958659" first="James" last="Spencer"] of Park Center (2022). Despite giving up about six inches to the players that he was guarding, James grabbed seven boards and scored on three of five shots.
