Recruiting Report: 2023 Jaden Johnson

One of the main storylines so far this basketball season has been the success of Bishop McNamara. McNamara is currently 9-0 and 4-0 in the WCAC with wins already over Paul VI and St. John’s. Part of their success is due to 2023 Jaden Johnson Jaden Johnson 6'0" | PG Bishop McNamara | 2023 State MD . Prep Hoops was able to catch up with Johnson about the early success his team is having along with a few other things.

“There have been a lot of emotions going on right now and a lot of happiness but coming into this season I knew the group that we had was special and a lot of people did not know about this or doubted us but I knew coming into this season we were going to be ready and I think we are showing people now.”

“Coming into this season I knew coach was expecting me to play a bigger role so I know my teammates trust me and I trust myself. I put a lot of work in during the offseason so coming into this season I just wanted to do anything I could to help my team win.”

Recruitment has been a little slow for Johnson but there is one school in particular that is keeping close tabs on him.

“I definitely hear from George Washington the most right now. They are showing me love basically everyday.”

Johnson broke down what the Colonials message is towards him.

“They want me in their program and they recruit players that play like me. You can tell they really like me.”
