<h5>The second half of the basketball season is underway. Here’s a look at the 2024 prospects to keep an eye on in the NCHSAA 3A West region.</h5>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1154633" first="Chase" last="Daniel"] compiles 1/3 of the attack for Central Cabarrus which also features [player_tooltip player_id="1158774" first="Carson" last="Daniel"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1218085" first="Jaiden" last="Thompson"] as well. He’s one of the leading names that’s averaging 16.8 ppg, 5.0 spg, 4.1 apg and 4.0 rpg as an all-around presence in the Vikings’ backcourt as they remain unbeaten at 16-0. He’s one name to track in their rotation in the 2024 class.</p>
<h5>[player_tooltip player_id="1368157" first="Jackson" last="Lyda"] | 5’10 Shooting Guard | Hendersonville</h5>
<p>Hendersonville has another star-in-the-making emerging with [player_tooltip player_id="1368157" first="Jackson" last="Lyda"] in the 2024 class. He’s a sharpshooter that’s putting up 13.3 ppg along with 34.2 rpg, 2.8 apg and 2.4 spg while shooting 38 percent from behind the arc. He’s made a total of 40 3-pointers and counting in his sophomore season from 3-point range. He’s a sharpshooter to know in the 3A West region.</p>
<h5>[player_tooltip player_id="1368135" first="Trimell" last="Dunlap"] | 6’0 Guard | Huss </h5>
<p>Dunlap is an emerging name to know at Huss High School in the backcourt. He’s filling up the stat sheet through their first 12 games of 2021-22 with 6.1 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 1.4 spg and 1.3 apg in the Huskies’ rotation. He’s done well to be an all-around presence while showing off his ability to make an impact.</p>
<h5>[player_tooltip player_id="1368142" first="Antoine" last="Jones"] | 5’10 Guard | Atkins </h5>
<p>Jones is an emerging lead guard to know at Atkins High to keep an eye on. He’s posted 16.6 ppg, 1.6 rpg and 1.6 spg on the year as they’re out to a 6-1 start in conference action so far. Look for him to be a leading name in the rotation in 2021-22 as they continue towards the playoffs.</p>
<h5>[player_tooltip player_id="1368156" first="Kobe" last="Broome"] | 5’11 Guard | West Mecklenburg</h5>
<p>Broome is a top shooter to know in the 2024 class over at West Mecklenburg High. He’s producing 16.7 ppg while knocking down 30 3-pointers from behind the arc. He’s averaging roughly two made 3-pointers per contest while showing he can rebound as well with 2.7 rpg. He’s another young name to know in the state.</p>
