With the season at it's midway point we take a look at some of the favorites in 6A moving forward.

Region 1

Davis High School is the clear-cut favorite. They might get tested here and there but they have a different swagger with a team that is deep and experienced. [player_tooltip player_id="934473" first="Rex" last="Sunderland"], [player_tooltip player_id="968050" first="Colby" last="Simms"], Henry Ihrig, [player_tooltip player_id="968066" first="Tate" last="Garff"] and Sawyer Cotrell are a talented group that have been playing together for awhile.

Everyone thinks they’re Davis’s rival especially with all the success that they’ve been having. Excited to see a new one when they go up against Farmington as the two schools share boundary lines and a new rivalry is born .

Region 2

Kearns has a great record but we are picking Cyprus High School as the favorite as they are starting to role. They also have been playing some o=tough teams as they look to get their record back up. [player_tooltip player_id="934030" first="Quentin" last="Meza"], [player_tooltip player_id="1057025" first="Diego" last="Mulford"], [player_tooltip player_id="967705" first="MJ" last="Tia"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1257172" first="Justus" last="Jackson-Fobbs"] will be a tough seasoned team to beat.

Key games coming up will be when they visit Bingham tonight and in mid January when they play Kearns high School. Should be a two team race in Region 2.

Region 3

Bingham will have another bullseye on their backs as they look to repeat as Region Champion and make it further in the playoffs this season. [player_tooltip player_id="968084" first="Kam" last="Dupaix"] has been playing up there with the best players in the state as one of the best two way players. [player_tooltip player_id="1057035" first="Ace" last="Reiser"] is growing his game and [player_tooltip player_id="968083" first="Devin" last="Carlson"] continues to prove his value as a stock riser in the Class of 2022.

Key games coming up. Bingham doesn’t duck the competition as they host Cyprus tonight and they will end the pre-season against Pleasant Grove High School. These two games will be measuring sticks for them and for everyone in the state to determine where the miners stack up against the best in the state.

Region 4

Region 4 is brutal again as there is more parity than in most years but this season we are rolling with Corner Canyon. With a mixture of young talent and season vets there are a lot of player son the roster that are hungry. [player_tooltip player_id="934040" first="Max" last="Toombs"] is really proving himself with his game. [player_tooltip player_id="968110" first="Tyler" last="Burraston"] is lighting it up from outside and the emergence of [player_tooltip player_id="968111" first="Jaiden" last="Feroah"] has been stellar. He is another stock riser with size and guard playing ability.

Key game coming up will be against American Fork High School as region play starts and everyone will be looking at what happens with all the tough and deep teams in Region 4.
