Week notes:

Cooldige showed why they are one of the favorites, if not THE favorite to win it all in 3A.

Eastmark has a ton of talented young players and will be a major factor next year and beyond.

PHH Prep upset a talented roster of pro prospects, impressing some of the NBA scouts on hand.

Here are some of the Senior Standouts for the week:

[player_tooltip player_id="809672" first="Jason" last="Elder"] Phhoenix Prep (Pictured)

A versatile forward showed off his shooting from the 3pt line with multiple triples. He goes up above the crowd for rebounds and he will create his own offense. He defends multiple positions, he can push the rock and make plays for others. His ability to rebound versus bigger players and fight inside to gain position helps his overall game.

[player_tooltip player_id="1291505" first="Shahid" last="Muhammad"] Phhoenix Prep

An explosive leaper seems to jump on a spring then power up. He is that true rim runner and will block shots out of area. His teammates can literally throw it up anywhere and will most likely grab it in the air and flush it down.

[player_tooltip player_id="809715" first="Kieran" last="Carr"] Prep Post Grad

A 3pt shooter with a quick release. He has developed his frame and his handle has improved. He is a good passer, a plus athlete and will defend the 1-3 for his team.

[player_tooltip player_id="611407" first="Simon" last="Wheeler"] Phhoenix Prep Post Grad

A jet quick point guard with speed on speed. He has a yo-yo handle and is an exciting open court player to turn the corner to get to the rim. He makes tough shots in traffic and can find teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id="1196511" first="Mark" last="Clegg Jr"] Coolidge

A long and somewhat lean defensive wing forward. He rebounds in and out of his area and will find teammates as a true point forward type. He can throw the pocket pass and makes many extra passes. He has plus athleticism as he showed it off with a nasty tip-dunk in traffic. He can dribble drive by his defender and finish with his left or right hand. He made multiple difficult layups in traffic. He scored 18 points and an impressive 16 rebounds vs Eastmark.

[player_tooltip player_id="932346" first="Jake" last="Clapper"] Phhoenix Prep Post Grad

A catch 3pt shooter showed some bounce in the lane. He has improved his shooting dramatically and his IQ shines through with many little things. He takes care of the ball, relocates to open spots, rebounds, plays fundamentally sound defense and makes winning plays.

Josh Pratt SG 6’0 2022 Coolidge

A deadly catch 3pt shooter hit six deep ones versus Eastmark. He squares up quickly and launches them with no hesitation. He has no fear of failing and will miss two and the next four will go up. He moves without the ball and makes smart passes and good decisions. He scored 20 points vs Eastmark.
