Jordan Fisher, 6’5 SF Reynoldsburg 2025: In my first viewing of Fisher, he was sensational for Reynoldsburg by leading them to a comeback victory over Bishop Watterson. Fisher was knocking down shots from everywhere, mostly in the mid-range area. Fisher has a smooth stroke and looked automatic from the free-throw line as well. His efficiency also stood out to me as despite getting hot, Fisher wasn’t then taking rushed shots as ’heat checks’. Fisher is one of the top freshman prospects in central Ohio and will be a name to monitor as the years go by.
Timothy Carpenter Timothy Carpenter 6'4" | PF Trotwood-Madison | 2024 State OH , 6’4 SF Trotwood-Madison 2024: Carpenter put up a smooth 30+ point performance against Olentangy Liberty to continue his impressive Sophomore season. Carpenter is an interesting evaluation as he’s a super productive high school prospect but really plays like a 6’4 PF that doesn’t look to do much outside of the paint. For example, Carpenter had 13 field goals in this game and at least 10 or 11 were within 5 feet of the basket. On the plus side, Carpenter is very strong and uses this strength to finish in traffic incredibly well. Carpenter also has good feel for the game as he doesn’t turn the ball over much in Trotwood’s frantic pace they play at.
Juwan Turner Juwan Turner 5'10" | PG Pickerington Central | 2024 State OH , 5’10 PG Pickerington Central 2024: Turner has been impressive in both games I’ve seen this season, looking like potentially the best guard for the Tigers. Turner plays at good pace and is money from the mid-range area. Not the quickest PG prospect, Turner uses his bigger frame to get where he wants. Turner is a name to remember in the 2024 class in central Ohio.
Bj Hatcher, 6’1 PG Dayton Dunbar 2025: Hatcher started for Dunbar and showed off some of the reasons why he’s regarded as one of the top freshmen from the Dayton area. Hatcher is quick on the ball and made a great move to the bucket with an off-hand finish with the left. I want to see more consistent attacking mentality from Hatcher as he continues to adjust to the speed of the varsity game.
