After over 12 hours spent in the gym watching seven great games featuring outstanding prospects, it is time to put out some evaluations. Here is a look at some of the top prospects that stood out during Saturday’s event.
Shon Tupuola Shon Tupuola 6'8" | C Brownsburg | 2022 State IN (Brownsburg H.S. 2022): This 6’8″ center can really impact the game around the basket. Tupuola is a defensive game-changer with his ability to protect the rim and rebound outside of his area. Offensively, he will continue to develop but he is an above the rim finisher.
Ashton Williamson Ashton Williamson 6'2" | PG Gary 21st Century | 2023 State #287 Nation IN (Gary 21st Century 2023): Explosive 6’3″ guard that showed his ability to stuff the stat sheet on Saturday morning. Williamson is super athletic, has great finishing ability, and can make plays for others off of the dribble. One of the best on-ball guards in the state. Williamson finished with 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists.
Jordan Woods Jordan Woods 6'2" | PG Hammond Central | 2023 State IN (Hammond Central H.S. 2023): Woods played his role perfectly on Saturday afternoon. The 6’3″ guard can make plays off of the dribble with the best guards in the state. He finished with 4 points, 8 rebounds, and 10 assists as he routinely got into the paint and got open shots for his teammates. Explosive guard that can be tough to stop in transition and will play make in the half court.
Christian Nunn Christian Nunn 6'3" | SF L'anse Creuse North | 2022 State IN (Crispus Attucks H.S. 2022): It was more of the same from Nunn in Saturday afternoon’s game against Linton-Stockton. The 6’4″ guard can get to the basket at anytime and has the physicality and athleticism to finish through bigger defenders. Finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds in the game. One of the best DII/DIII/NAIA prospects in the state. He will get you buckets.
Joey Hart Joey Hart 6'5" | SG Linton-Stockton | 2023 State #214 Nation IN (Linton-Stockton H.S. 2023): This was among the best performances that I’ve seen Hart put together. Despite being face-guarded for most of the game, the 6’4″ guard hit four three-pointers in the first half and would go on to score a game-high 22 points. He was efficient from the field and showed off his shot-making ability. One of the best players in the state of Indiana led Linton to a big win over 4A Crispus Attucks.
Peter Suder Peter Suder 6'5" | SG Carmel | 2022 State #227 Nation IN (Carmel H.S. 2022): It wasn’t the best performance but Suder or his Greyhounds team, but he still showed why he is arguably the best available respect in Indiana’s Class of 2022. The 6’4″ guard is an excellent leader, is super tough, and can get things done off of the dribble at a high level. Super physical finisher on his way to the basket.
Fletcher Loyer Fletcher Loyer 6'4" | SG Homestead | 2022 State #108 Nation IN (Homestead H.S. 2022): If there was any question marks about Loyer being this season’s Mr. Basketball, he answered them on Saturday evening. The future Purdue Boilermaker is the best scorer in the state and scored 25 points in the Spartans win over Carmel Saturday night. He can flat out score the basketball.
Azavier Robinson Azavier Robinson 6'1" | PG Lawrence North | 2025 State #88 Nation IN (Lawrence North H.S. 2025): In front of a bunch of college coaches it really couldn’t have been a better introduction to the statewide stage for Robinson. The 6’1″ freshman guard showed why he already holds an offer from IUPUI. He is excellent off of the dribble and already has the physicality to finish inside. 22 points and 11 rebounds in the game for Robinson. He is going to be a special player down the road.
Myles Colvin Myles Colvin 6'5" | SG Heritage Christian | 2023 State #51 Nation IN (Heritage Christian 2023): There is no denying the fact that Colvin was one of the most explosive athletes at the Sneakers For Santa Shootout on Saturday. He got off to a slow start but scored 13 of his 21 points in the third quarter as the Eagles mounted a comeback. A couple of big dunks made the event highlight reel as well. The Boilermakers have a big time prospect coming in Colvin.
Jaron Tibbs Jaron Tibbs 6'4" | SF Cathedral | 2023 State IN (Cathedral H.S. 2023): Tibbs is a high-level two-sport athlete that is taking little time to adjust to basketball after helping lead Cathedral to a football state championship. They 6’3″ physical wing was excellent for the Irish keeping them in the game with a couple of late buckets. His athleticism is very tough to stop around the basket as a finisher. Underrated prospect for Cathedral.
