- Richmond Heights (4-2) Losses to Division I powers Fairfield and Green aren’t anything for a Division IV team to be ashamed about, Richmond Heights has more chances at a marquee victory in January and February.
- Antwerp (7-0) One of the most consistent Division IV programs the past few seasons, Antwerp is trying to make it down to states this season.
- Emmanuel Christian (6-1) After a strong showing in Georgia to open the season, Emmanuel Christian has returned to Ohio and hasn’t lost since.
- Botkins (8-0) The defending state champs got a huge victory over Springfield Shawnee in a faster paced game than they are used to. Winning in different styles of play will only help them come March.
- Dalton (5-1) A close loss to traditional Division I power Mentor actually showed how strong Dalton is this season.
- Tri-Village (5-2) Went on the road and hung with Division I foe Mason and then were upset by Division III powerhouse Fairland. Still think Tri-Village is as dangerous as anybody come playoff time.
- Trimble (7-0) Won a battle of unbeatens in a neutral site battle with Caldwell, we’ll see if the Tomcats can stay unbeaten well into the new year.
- Lucasville Valley (8-0) The last unbeaten team in the best conference in southeast Ohio this season, Lucasville Valley has raised some eyebrows in that part of the state.
- Malvern (6-0) Lots of talent in the eastern district, Malvern gets the slight nod over some other strong teams due to impressive margin of victory.
- Lima Perry (8-1) A 20-point victory over city rival Lima Shawnee got my attention. Let’s see how long they can continue that sort of play.
Honorable mention (by region) River (8-0) Berlin Hiland (6-1) Caldwell (7-1)
Convoy Crestview (5-1) Tiffin Calvert (7-0) Monroeville (7-0)
Grandview Heights (6-1)
Springfield Catholic Central (7-0)
