Elk Point-Jefferson vs. Canton: Impressive players

<p>The hoops season is underway in South Dakota. The Huskies from Elk Point-Jefferson took down the C-Hawks from Canton on Thursday night. It was a great way to start the hoops season in SD!</p> <p><strong>Huskies 78 C-Hawks 71</strong></p> <h4><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Top Players</strong></span></h4> <h4><strong>Elk Point-Jefferson</strong></h4> <p><strong>Canon Kempf (2022) |5-9 G|</strong></p> <p>He scored the first points of the game. This lefty is a physical player. Kempf was tough on the O-boards. He looks like a very solid FT shooter. Canon was also very good in transition. </p> <p><strong>Landon Geary (2022) |6-2 G|</strong></p> <p>He dropped 17 points. Landon was deadly shooting it from deep. He was great at catching and shooting. Geary also blocked shots on defense. He is a smooth shooter that moves well without the ball. </p> <p><strong>Chance Fornia (2023) |6-4 F|</strong></p> <p>This big lefty had a nice game. Chance showed a very nice turnaround post finish. Evan scored and did damage around the hoop. He had many offensive rebounds. Fornia is a big player that is very physical. </p> <p><strong>Easton Kempf (2023) |6-5 F|</strong></p> <p>He put up 22 points. Easton had great multiple moves in the post. He showed an impressive drop step when finishing. Kempf had multiple AND1 finishes. He was also very good from the FT line. Matt was dynamic in transition. He had a smooth flush in the first half. He played the top of the zone pres and was very active. I liked his high low pass and his baseline jumper. Jacob was physical against the zone. His high-low finish was impressive in the first half. Jacob sprints the floor very hard. He is a rim protector and a shot blocker. </p> <p><strong>Payton Eben (2022) |6-1 G|</strong></p> <p>He is a smooth shooter and a very nice athlete. Eben is a slasher and a scorer in transition. He is very quick and a playmaker.</p> <p><strong>Braxton Mulder (2024) |6-1 G|</strong></p> <p>He crashed the offensive boards very hard. Derek can also hit the 3-ball. Tadesse had a smooth fullcourt finish that showed off his speed and finishing ability. </p>
