Game of the Day
Orem High School vs. Bingham High School
These two respective powers met in the Championship game. Orem was victorious in the ends as they wore down Bingham with solid overall play on both ends of the floor. Both teams play excellent defense but Orem had more gas in the tank as Bingham’s late runs were always answered by Orem.
Player of the Game
6’7 Dane Christensen Dane Christensen 6'7" | SF Orem | 2022 State UT || Orem High School || 2022 ||
If you’re a D2 or NAIA offer this kid immediately he is legit. He has a great looking stroke from deep and he is a mid-range game stud. Was getting to his spots all game long. He has patients and he runs the floor extremely well. Could play 3-5 at the right school but he is a 3. Defensively he holds his own and he has major IQ.
Solid Performances
6’4 Carter Walker Carter Walker 6'5" | CG Orem | 2022 State UT || Orem High School || 2022 ||
Superb athlete that defends. He moves really well laterally as he keeps defenders in-front of him. On the break he is patient and he moves extremely well without the ball. Had himself a nice vert 180 dunk simply by making a cut to the basket.
6’0 Ace Reiser Ace Reiser 6'0" | PG Alta | 2024 State UT || Bingham High School || 2024 ||
Ace was doing all he could against a team that had length waiting for him when he got past his defender. Was extremely shifty against a veteran defender and another guard that has major varsity experience. Bright future ahead of Ace.
6’2 Nick Clark Nick Clark 6'3" | SG Orem | 2022 State UT || Orem High School || 2022 ||
Solid guard that was under pressure all game and he was able to get loose and get his own and get other involved as well. One of the better PG off the radar a bit in that Class of 2022.
6’7 Ethan Stoddard || Orem High School || 2022 ||
Solid big guard that can go in the post if needed but he is solid in the mid-range area.
6’9 Brayden Whitethead || Bingham High School || 2023 ||
If you’re looking for a big with potential and could use a project, look no further. Brayden is getting better since we have seen him touch the floor a bit last season.
Top Performers Day 3
6’3 G Max Toombs Max Toombs 6'3" | CG Corner Canyon | 2023 State UT || Corner Canyon High School || 2023 ||
This kid is an ideal D2 PG. He is strong and he is solid as nails when he needs to get a bucket. Gets to the rim and hits from deep. Catch and shoot he is nice.
6’6 Dylan Jones Dylan Jones 6'6" | SG Westlake | 2022 State UT || Westlake High School || 2022 ||
Dylan has been solid all tournament and he is starting to fit the Westlake style of play. He can be a killer from deep. He is a player that can play right away at those small NJCAA schools and high level D2’s.
6’7 Paul Beattie Paul Beattie 6'9" | PF Farmington | 2024 State UT || Farmington High School || 2024 ||
Paul was the most consistent player for the Phoenix all tournament which is great for this young player that didn’t play much last season. Look for him to use this as a confidence builder moving forward.
