James Tully. 6”7. 2022 West Genesee
The successful upstate program will look to James for senior leadership, and he has answered the call. A multidimensional player. He is the new stretch 4 or 5 that will be very important at the next level in stretching the floor. James is very versatile defensively. He is able to guard on the perimeter. Coach uses him to hard hedge or on switches to guard smaller players. Very capable of hitting shots from 15 feet and in. Also a big man who can make the right passes from the high post.
Anthony Follett 6”3. 2023 Portledge
Portledge has gotten off to a 6-0 start. A big part of that success is the inspired play of Anthony. He is a scorer of the ball in a variety of ways. This smooth lefty can drill the three or score it off the bounce. Has an excellent handle in the open floor.
Jayden Reid Jayden Reid 5'10" | PG LuHi | 2023 State #119 Nation NY 5”11 2023 Long Island Lutheran
Luhi nationally ranked club has been very impressive in the early going. They have incorporated new players due to graduations and also players transferring in. Jayden has been a constant. He has learned and played behind Andrew Curbello (Illinois ) and last year due to Covid really did not play many games but was learning from Rafael Andres Pinzon (St Johns). A super fast scoring point guard will be the next guard from Lutheran playing at a high major D1 program. He possesses all the tools. Can score at all three levels. Hard to keep him out of the lane. Excellent shooter from three. I have watched him make tremendous passes either in a half court set or a long touch pass. A major talent. A player of the year candidate in NewYork.
James Johns. 6”5. 2023 Long Island Lutheran
One of the aforementioned transfers is James. An athletic wing who can flush it in the open floor or through contact. A strong athletic wing. A constant talker on defense. Has fit into a talented squad with not only his talent but his toughness and confidence.
Christian Amica. 6”4. 2023 West Genesee
A major contender for a title upstate is no surprise that West Genesee is poised for another run. Following in his brothers footsteps (Will ). Christian hopes to not only replicate his brothers success here but at a D1 programm. It should be accomplished. Christian will set his own path. Strong athletic body scores in a variety of ways. A tremendous skill set. The West Genesee team improved to 4-0 with a defeat of another team with hopes of a title Liverpool. Christian had 15 points he showed the ability to score through contact or in the open floor.
Christian Cain 6”0 2023 West Genesee
The scouting report on Chrustian last year in an abbreviated season was he was an excellent on the ball defender and a had a steady handle. in eight games less he has already surpassed his point total, field goals and tied his three point output made from last year. Including putting up 27 points vs Liverpool. In fact he has gone for 52 points in his last 2 games. He has shown good range and the ability to weave his way to the basket.
Jaidan Reynolds 6”4 2023 Liverpool
A strong athletic wing. Has excellent court vision. Outstanding shooter from three. Can also score off the deck. Had 15 for Liverpool ve West Genesee in an early season matchup between two talented teams who will vie for a sectional title.
