<p>With the H.S Season less than a week away, here is a look at our Pre-Season top 10 5A Team. </p>
<ol>
<li><strong>Bishop Gorman</strong> (LW) #1 Week 3-0 Season 3-0 – The Champs opened up by winning the Wild West Shootout in Reno. [player_tooltip player_id="859642" first="Ryan" last="Abelman"] took home MVP honors. Sophomore sensations [player_tooltip player_id="986956" first="Jase" last="Richardson"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1110114" first="John" last="Mobley Jr"] put together big weekends for the Gaels. They go on the road for a rare in-state non-conference matchup to take on 4A #5 Mojave, before heading out to Phoenix for Hoophall. </li>
<li><strong>Liberty</strong> (LW) #2 Week 3-0 Season 3-0 – The Patriots have been dominant to start the season, dismantling Bonanza 71-30, before getting two convincing wins over Rancho Christian and Bueno in California. They have been led by their big four of [player_tooltip player_id="989243" first="Angelo" last="Kambala"], [player_tooltip player_id="986955" first="DJ" last="Thomas"], [player_tooltip player_id="787643" first="Joshua" last="Jefferson"], and [player_tooltip player_id="859649" first="Aaron" last="Price"]. </li>
<li><strong>Durango</strong> (LW) #3 Week 1-1 Season 1-1 –The Trailblazers split this week getting a win over Bonanza before dropping a game to Modesto Christian from California. They received contributions from Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id="859643" first="Shane" last="Thomas"], and sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id="986954" first="Taj" last="DeGourville"]. They head up to Utah where they will take on Lehi and Corner Canyon. </li>
<li><strong>Coronado</strong> (LW) #4 Week 0-2 Season 0-2 - The Cougars fell to Wagner and Memorial in Texas, </li>
<li><strong>Bishop Manogue</strong> LW # 6 Week 3-1 Season 3-1 – The Miners went 2-1 taking home a 3rd place finish in the Wild West Shootout, with their only defeat being to #1 Gorman. They have a well-rounded balanced attack, led by Juniors [player_tooltip player_id="940476" first="Ethan" last="Goon"], 14ppg, [player_tooltip player_id="1340636" first="Isiah" last="Garcia"], 13ppg, and [player_tooltip player_id="930657" first="Jordan" last="Morency"] 12ppg. They head on the road to face McQueen before heading out to California to face fellow WWS participant Jesuit. </li>
<li><strong>Foothill</strong> LW #7 Week 3-1 Season 3-1 – Strong week for the Falcons with their only loss coming at #5 Manogue. Senior forward [player_tooltip player_id="928924" first="John" last="Derrick"] averaged 19ppg during the WWS, taking home All-Tournament Honors. Junior PG [player_tooltip player_id="985643" first="Jahmon" last="Haylock"] has provided steady PG play, while [player_tooltip player_id="1088237" first="Declan" last="Smith"] has kept the floor spaced with his sharpshooting ability. </li>
<li><strong>Desert Pines</strong> – (LW) #10 Week 2-0 Season 2-0 - The Jags got wins over Western and Chaparral. Junior Guard [player_tooltip player_id="989247" first="Isiaac" last="Boykin"] is having a breakout year averaging over 18ppg. Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id="859648" first="Jamir" last="Stephens"] has shown an all-around game putting up 10-5 and 3. They travel to Eastside rival Rancho before getting ready for the Tark Classic. </li>
<li><strong>Centennial</strong> (LW) #9 Week 3-2 Season 3-2 – The Bulldogs sandwiched a win over Desert Oasis with wins over Legacy. They have been led by senior guard [player_tooltip player_id="928926" first="Jayven" last="Jones"] who scored 21 in their season opener. The Elijah’s, Hart, and Burney have also stepped up big for them, and big man [player_tooltip player_id="1053246" first="Chase" last="Jackson"] has held down the middle, putting up a 12-10 double double in the season opener. Big test ahead this week, as they travel to face Wasatch Academy, before returning home to face 4A Spring Valley in the GOTW. </li>
<li><strong>Reed</strong> (LW) UR Week 2-0 Season 2-0 Next vs Galena - The Red Raiders picked up two victories over California squads, River Valley, and Nevada Union. Senior guard Jace Cook has averaged 22ppg for them. He’s gotten help from senior guard [player_tooltip player_id="859652" first="Michael" last="Agee"], who is averaging over 16ppg. They host Galena, in their only contest of the week. </li>
<li><strong>Canyon Springs</strong> (LW) #5 Week 1-1 Season 1-1 – The Pioneers went 1-1 on the week. Big tests ahead this week with games against Spring Valley, Western, and cross-town rival Cheyenne. </li>
