Is this the year that somebody besides Hopkins or Wayzata reaches state from 6AAAA? Cooper has a very good team, South is up and coming. Here is the 6AAAA Profile.

Section 6AAAA Rundown

I feel like the best way to look at this is.... can they knock out the defending state champs? Wayzata returns two starters (Bjerke and Berkland), they have three key bench players back ([player_tooltip player_id="796955" first="Ryan" last="Harvey"], Tibbits, Hall), there are 2-3 upperclassmen from last year’s JV ready to roll, and the youth in this program is excellent. So, who is ready? Let’s start with, Hopkins.

Hopkins: The Royals are close. They have a powerhouse center (Nnaji), an all state caliber all around player (CJ), a playmaker (Wilson), several veterans ready to fill spots, and some of the best young players in the state. Hopkins will go toe to toe.

South: They are going to be very tough this year. Still young but very tough. They will get some big wins this year and then strongly contend for trophies in 22-23 and 23-24.

Southwest: This is the year for them to make a run. They have a nice group of seniors.

Cooper: I know they lost a lot of good players from last year and the last two seasons were strong, but don’t count them out. They have a couple players that I think will take major steps forward.

Armstrong: They changed coaches and are moving in a new direction. The team has some talent, we need to see how they gel.
