Hoops & Dreams Showcase Day 2 Standouts

<p dir="auto">Pine Forest Sophomore Guard <b>[player_tooltip player_id="1104959" first="Darris" last="Simmons"]</b>: He got off to a quick start scoring the ball and remained consistent throughout the day, dropping a showcase high of 30 Points in their matchup with Apex Friendship. Attacking the basket, knocking down midrange jumpers and hitting the three point shot at a high rate were all things we saw from him throughout this matchup. One thing is for certain, this young man does not lack confidence and is not afraid of the big time games. </p> <p dir="auto">Apex-Friendship Senior <b>[player_tooltip player_id="1028010" first="Gabe" last="Proctor"]</b>: His ability to knock down perimeter shots is one of his strongest traits and he started off the game showcasing that ability. As the game went on, shots weren’t falling for him but he stayed aggressive and kept competing at a high level on both ends of the court. </p> <p dir="auto">Northwood Temple Senior Guard <b>[player_tooltip player_id="848062" first="Jaquantae" last="Harris"]</b>: His team came in as the underdogs in this matchup due to the size and depth mismatch of their opponents. With that being said, Harris showed that he belonged and should be mentioned as one of the top 2022 Guards in the state with his play. He constantly attacked the defense, scoring the ball but also making plays for teammates. </p> <p dir="auto">Word of God Christian Senior Guard <b>[player_tooltip player_id="848060" first="Po’Boigh" last="King"]</b>: He’s known for his ability to knock down the deep ball and he showcased that as well as finishing inside the paint. King finished with a team high of 21 points, leading the Holy Rams to a win on a high percentage shooting night from the field. College programs that are looking for a SG should be giving him a call sooner than later. </p> <p dir="auto">Liberty Heights Senior Guard <b>[player_tooltip player_id="533518" first="Elijah" last="Jamison"]</b>: You have to love the way he makes an impact on the game for his team in numerous ways. He’s a natural scorer that can put the ball in the bucket with efficiency, defends without fouling and always has his head up to make the right pass to teammates which leads to high percentage baskets.  </p> <p dir="auto">Moravian Prep Senior Guard <b>[player_tooltip player_id="918978" first="Jackson" last="Holt"]</b>: From the start of this matchup he showcased his ability to knock down outside shots at a very high level. He has textbook shooting form, college level range and remained efficient throughout the day. </p> <p dir="auto">Bull City Prep Senior <b>Mady Traore</b>: A very intriguing prospect, he stands at 6’11, displayed nice vertical and lateral quickness, scored at a high percentage from multiple levels and provided a nice interior presence for his team. His team faced a large deficit at one point in their matchup with Moravian Prep but he remained locked in and was instrumental in their comeback.</p> <p>Wayne Country Day Junior <b>[player_tooltip player_id="848089" first="Collin" last="Tanner"]</b>: The combination of size, skill and athleticism allowed him to make a very high impact in this matchup, finishing with a game high of 29 Points &amp; 11 Rebounds. He can knock down shots from outside but doesn’t settle too often, doing a nice job of balancing his interior and perimeter production. </p>
