On November 5th and one game on November 6th I attended the AZ Compass Classic in Chandler, AZ.

I also attended one game on November 2nd with AZ Compass Green and South Pointe.

Here were some of the non-senior standouts of the games I viewed for the week which includes the talented home team:

[player_tooltip player_id="861099" first="Marquis" last="Cook"] AZ Compass Prep

A wildly athletic wing is a dunking machine. He has elite body control in the air to score it around traffic. He is a transition star and has that quick bounce many of the high ranked players possess. He likes scoring from elbow and in and can make perimeter jumpers.

[player_tooltip player_id="992477" first="Kylan" last="Boswell"] AZ Compass Prep

A top of the line two way player. His on the ball defense is suffocating. He has good lateral quicks with long arms. He has a super tight handle and he is a good passer. His catch-3 is money and he has a next level pace to his game.

[player_tooltip player_id="1150826" first="Imisi" last="Motunde"] AZ Compass Prep Green

A thicker wing forward with incredible strength for a freshman. He can make the mid-range pull-up and hit the catch-3. He is a good rebounder and shot blocker for his position. He moves well laterally and closes out to shooters quickly. He can handle it decently and take it to the cup and he is a good passer.

[player_tooltip player_id="1183400" first="KaShar" last="Benton"] AZ Compass Prep Green

A big five-man is a strong two-handed rebounder high above the crowd who outlets the ball well. His motor is improving to crash the glass. He has a drop step and scores it through opposing defenders. He will block shots in his area.

[player_tooltip player_id="1323937" first="Mal" last="Both"] AZ Compass Prep Green

The cousin of Kok Yat is a long and lean athletic forward who moves gracefully in the open court. He can make the catch-3 plus rebounds in his area. He needs to get stronger but shows a lot of upside.

[player_tooltip player_id="996741" first="Deven" last="Johnson"] AZ Compass Prep Green

A talented lefty moved over to the sophomore class and he was already one of the big stock risers in the 2023 class. He has good speed in the open court and high skill level. His pace to his game and court vision are improving. He can pull-up from mid-range plus hit the deep-3.

[player_tooltip player_id="1284852" first="Chris" last="Riddle"] AZ Compass Prep Green

A calm and patient guard plays at his own pace. He has strong and quick hands on defense to rip the ball from his opponents. He can drive by his man and thunder it down with authority. He is a strong rebounder for a guard and a better passer then he gets credited for. He uses his stronger frame and build and seems to glides in the air and finishes well with impressive body control with either hand.

[player_tooltip player_id="1008612" first="Julian" last="Roberts"] Bella Vista Prep

A long post player has a nice touch to the perimeter. His length bothered his opponents on put backs and he rebounds in and out of area. He brought more energy to the contest and was running the court.

[player_tooltip player_id="1301337" first="Marquese" last="Josephs"] Bella Vista Prep

A super bouncy undersized guard is a fun watch. He brings a big motor to each game and he will defend on the ball. He plays the passing lanes and gets out in transition and will play way above the rim.
