Mackenzie Mgbako Mackenzie Mgbako 6'8" | SF Roselle Catholic | 2023 State #5 Nation NJ , 6’7 SF Gill St. Bernard’s
Mgbako is one of the top forwards in the country and should put it on display this season after missing most of last season with injury. The 6’7 wing can score at all three levels as he has a smooth release on his jumper. Mgbako has a nice handle and uses his size to shoot over smaller defenders. He is a strong rebounder and makes plays on the defensive end. Mgbako is set for a huge season for Gill St. Bernard’s as he is one of the most complete prospects in the Garden State.
Aaron Bradshaw Aaron Bradshaw 7'0" | PF Camden | 2023 State #10 Nation NJ , 7’0 PF Camden
Bradshaw has yet to score in a varsity game for the High, but he should be in store for a monster season after a breakout summer with the NJ Scholars. The 7’0 footer runs the floor hard, setting himself up for easy dunks in transition. Bradshaw has a good face-up as he can put the ball on the floor and knock down shots from behind the arc. He uses his length to swat shots around the basket and skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Bradshaw is a talented stretch-four prospect who is set for a big junior campaign for Camden.
Akil Watson Akil Watson 6'7" | SF Roselle Catholic | 2023 State #105 Nation NJ , 6’7 SF Roselle Catholic
Watson had a good first two seasons for the Ironmen and is looking to bring that form to Roselle Catholic. The 6’7 wing has a nice shooting stroke and his range extends out to the three-point line. Watson can also put the ball on the floor and finish in multiple ways around the basket. He has the length and athleticism to defend multiple positions and is an underrated rebounder. Watson will be one of the main cogs of Roselle Catholic’s frontcourt as the Lions look to take home the 2022 Tournament of Champions title.
Tyler Koenig Tyler Koenig 6'9" | PF Pioneer Academy | 2023 State NJ , 6’9 PF DePaul Catholic
Koenig had a solid sophomore season and is looking to build on that in 2021-22. The 6’9 post player has a good touch around the basket and knows how to get position down low. Koenig has a nice release on his jumper and is developing his range on the offensive end. He is a solid shot-blocker and is tough to keep off the glass at both ends of the floor. Koenig is set for a big season for DePaul Catholic as he gets more looks on the offensive end.
Jayden Holmes-Cotter Jayden Holmes-Cotter 6'6" | PF Freehold Township | 2023 State NJ , 6’6 PF Freehold Township
Holmes-Cotter is set for a breakout campaign with the Patriots as he gets more touches down low. The 6’6 forward has a strong frame, which he uses to get position down low and draw contact. Holmes-Cotter has a nice touch around the basket and can knock down shots in the mid-range. He is a strong rebounder and is a good post defender. Holmes-Cotter is a physical forward prospect to watch in the Shore Conference as he looks to be one of the main guys for Freehold Township this season.
