Jonathan Calmese (Farragut) 6’0 So.
First time seeing the high IQ guard. Jonathan saw the floor well setting up players often. He has an old school feel on the court always surveying and putting guys in better position. Calmese can also score as he hit several three pointers and used good body control when driving in the lane. Jonathan is another Admiral to track in a long history of talented guards.
Ian Miletic (Rolling Meadows) 6’5 Fr.
A skilled wing who showed versatility with the ball in his hand. Ian has great ball sense as he used different ways to attack and score. Miletic scored from all three levels and proved to be a willing passer if options were taken away. With his size he will be a really good college prospect.
Gianni Cobb (Bloom) 5’9 So.
Cobb is an electric guard who can score with the best of them. As a smaller guard Gianni plays with a spark. He zips in and out of traffic with the ball on a string. Cobb does a great job at getting from point A to B. He is very quick and doesn’t have any issues scoring over taller players.
Jaedin Reyna Jaedin Reyna 6'0" | PG Bishop Noll | 2024 State IN (St.Rita) 6’0 So.
Reyna was firing on all cylinders at Pangos. The Rita guard proved he can play on and off the ball at the camp. He made many shots from three. Hitting them with defenders in his face. In transition he made pinpoint passes as his teammates slashed to the bucket. Reyna a high IQ guard that just seems to understand when and where to attack. He holds several offers already.
Emmanuel Mosley (Marian Catholic) 5’8 Fr.
Another smaller guard who is tough on defense and can shoot the ball from range. Mosley hit many deep threes from way off the line. If that shot was taken away he drove and dished to teammates. Emmanuel hopes to become the next small impact guard that Marian depends on in the future.
Justin Bowen (Lincoln Park) 6’3 Fr.
Bowen is a talent freshman who used a combination of skill and force to score buckets. Justin got to the rim using strong drive from the wing taking a hit or two often. In the game I observed Bowen got to the free-throw line very frequently. A skill that most players don’t figure out until they are upperclassmen. With an added jumper Justin can be one of the better wings in the class.
Calvin Robins Jr Calvin Robins Jr 6'5" | PF Kenwood | 2024 State IL (Kenwood) 6’4 So.
The very athletic forward was dunking everything in sight. Calvin is one of those bouncy wings who just plays hard constantly. Robbins rebounds the ball well on both sides and can change shots when he’s protecting the rim. For his size if he adds a skillset he can become a can’t miss prospect.
Payton Kamin Payton Kamin 6'7" | SF Worcester Academy | 2025 State New E (DePaul Prep) 6’6 So.
One of the better shooters in his class. Payton showed some of his other attributes at Pangos. He proved that he can put the ball on the ground as he scored many times in transition. Kamin has a quick but smooth release on his shot and is already shooting from as deep as the college line.
Dekwon Brown Dekwon Brown 6'4" | PG Simeon | 2024 #273 Nation IL (Limestone) 6’3 So.
As one of the co-MVP of the whole event Dekwon is definitely one of the best scoring guards in the state regardless of class. He plays with such ferocity and confidence. Brown has that James Harden scoring feel on the high school level as anytime he touches the rock you know his team is going to score somehow. A very underrated skill he doesn’t get credit for is his passing. Being such a great scorer making guys around him better sometimes goes overlooked.
Vincent Kelly (Lincoln Park) 5’9 Fr.
Small quick guard who has quick hands and is very elusive with the ball. Kelly got multiple steals in the game I watched of him. He was able to turn steals into points at the blink of an eye. Kelly made a shot or two before he went down with a leg injury.
Bryce Heard (Kenwood) 6’6 Fr.
Heard is very active wing who did a lot of damage in transition knocking down several threes with or without guys in his face. Bryce does great job at sizing guys up and playing at his own pace. Heard also was seen making acrobatics plays at the rim when he would get downhill on fast breaks. Bryce’s killer instinct makes him one of the better players in the 2025 class and he is one who could be pushing for the top spot in the rankings.
Carlos Harris Carlos Harris 6'1" | SG Curie | 2024 State #283 Nation IL (Curie) 6’2 So.
Carlos is a pure scoring guard that can fill it up fast when on the court. Harris has a solid upper body strength that helps him score through contact when he attacks the bucket. Carlos was seen making shots from all three levels and did a good job at mixing up ways score.
Rashad McKinnie (Simeon) 6’1 So.
Mckinnie was very aggressive from the tip ball. He got to the rim four straight times on solid dibble penetrating plays. Each time he was fouled and made free throws. Rashad is a shifty guard who plays at a solid pace on the court. He has an above average IQ on the court that he uses very well. Mckinnie can make shots when given space and does well at scoring through contact.
Antione Glasper (Collins) 6’0 So.
Glasper was one of the better iso ballhandlers at the camp. He beat players off the dribble many of times with a hard cross and often finished at the rim with finesse layups. Antione used a street ball style handle in a controlled setting to look effortless. Glasper is one of the better scoring guards in the state and makes Collins a must see this season.
Melvin Bell (St.Rita) 6’4 Fr.
Bell is a long and uber athletic wing that definitely is pushing for the top spot in the 2025 class. He was active and aggressive at attacking the bucket. I was impressed at him trying to dunk on big men anytime they looked to block his shots. Melvin is a great on ball defender who can get his hands on steals with great timing and anticipation. Bell has good touch from all areas of the court. He is already gaining attention from high major universities.
