Jaheem Webber Jaheem Webber 6'9" | C Normal Community | 2024 State #300 Nation IL (Normal Community – 2024)
Webber was a pleasant to surprise to see on the second day of the event as he didn’t participate on Saturday. He played in two games along with the top 30 game and was fantastic in all three. Webber has legit size and strength. He knows how to use his physical advantage getting deep post position and finishing with hook shots both left and right. Dominated the glass especially on the offensive end. Even flashed a mid-range game and was a force defensively swatting shots.
Jaden Smith Jaden Smith 6'10" | C Kenwood | 2024 State IL (Lincoln Park – 2024)
Smith is a skilled post from Lincoln Park who settled in on Sunday. He worked well out of the mid-post with his shooting and putting it on the deck. Displayed sound footwork around the hoop and was excellent in the pick/roll game. Blocked several shots.
Morez Johnson Morez Johnson 6'9" | PF Thornton | 2024 State #33 Nation IL (St. Rita – 2024)
Johnson lived up to his billing on the second day. His face up game is coming along rapidly. Drained mid-range jumpers with consistency. Around the hoop he was athletic, powerful, assertive, and explosive as a finisher. Played really hard and was dominant on the offensive glass.
Josh Pickett Josh Pickett 6'5" | SG St. Laurence | 2024 State #277 Nation IL (West Aurora – 2024)
Broad shouldered shooting guard with a great frame. Really smooth looking three point shot that he let fly from the perimeter with confidence. Used his physicality finishing around the hoop through contact.
Quentin Mccoy Quentin Mccoy 6'2" | PG Lindblom | 2024 State IL (Lindblom – 2024)
McCoy is a point guard that handles well and makes plays in transition. Drive and kick ability and shot it well from three.
Carlos Harris Carlos Harris 6'1" | SG Curie | 2024 State #283 Nation IL (Curie – 2024)
Strong bodied shooting guard is built like a running back. He was in attack mode getting downhill where he finished over and over with powerful conversions and acrobatic layups. Very nice outing from the Curie top 15 sophomore.
Jonas Johnson (DePaul Prep – 2025)
Johnson was one of the biggest breakout players of the event. The DePaul Prep power forward stretches the floor with his shooting and at 6’5” handled it well including several euro steps in the lane along with runners. Displayed touch around the hoop on post moves.
Dekwon Brown Dekwon Brown 6'4" | PG Simeon | 2024 #273 Nation IL (Limestone – 2024)
Brown got Co-MVP after a monster showing in the top 30 game. The Limestone point guard and top 10 prospect put on an absolute show shooting the ball from the perimeter draining pull up threes one after another. He was in a zone when on the same floor with many of his fellow star 2024 & 2025 prospects. Continues to flash as a passer with wrap around dishes and pick/roll finds.
James Brown James Brown 6'9" | C Link Academy (from Chicago) | 2024 #66 Nation MO (St. Rita – 2024)
In a game with the best of the best the state’s top sophomore stood above the rest. He put on a show with grown man moves and a dominant mindset! Brown blocked shots over and over again. He played physical around the hoop moving bodies and finishing with slams. Touch around the hoop with either hand and rebounded well on both ends.
Payton Kamin Payton Kamin 6'7" | SF Worcester Academy | 2025 State New E (DePaul Prep – 2024)
Kamin came alive late in the top 30 game as the DePaul Prep sharp shooter hit huge threes over and over again. One of the best pure shot makers in the state regardless of class he has a clean and easy stroke that he gets off quick and has excellent perimeter size. Primed for monster sophomore campaign at DePaul Prep.
Antonio Munoz (Whitney Young – 2025)
Munoz put together a really nice day two. One of the top 2025s in the class has awesome physical tools with his frame and elite athleticism. He made plays in the open floor, but it was the skill that impressed. He hit a turnaround jumper, spinning layup, corner three, and threw an excellent pick/roll dish.
Damon Davis (Whitney Young – 2024)
Davis is the younger brother of star 2023 point guard Dalen Davis Dalen Davis 6'0" | PG Whitney Young | 2023 State #167 Nation IL . He had a breakout weekend making a name for himself. Davis is a plus pull up jump shooter that knocked in an array of threes and mid-range pull ups.
Bryce Heard (Kenwood – 2025)
Heard is a strong contender for the top spot in the 2025 class. Shooting guard has excellent size, skill, and athleticism combination. In the top 30 game it was his three point shot that was rolling as he hit an array of them with his clean and easy shot. Can create off the bounce and has deep range!
