Dillon Bement Dillon Bement 6'0" | PG Duluth East | 2023 State MN of Duluth East. Most efficient player for the Greyhounds? That was Bement, a junior transfer from Superior, Wisconsin. He scored 13 points on six of eight shooting including making his last five attempts. Those scores were a mix of active off ball cuts and various jumpers that kept the Greyhounds in the game to the final seconds. Throw in three boards and three assists and you have another guy that will make Duluth East a section contender.
Tollack Davis of Minneapolis South. I’m not sure I took this young man’s name down correctly but I know he is a transfer from Minneapolis North, and I definitely know that he was the one player that gave Park Center some issues. Davis scored five times against a really good Park Center team: four times going at the cup and once from the arc. Throw in the five rebounds he chased down and you have another young man that can help South.
Sam Kuseske Sam Kuseske 6'6" | PF Rosemount | 2022 State MN of Rosemount. The Irish are a bigger team than I thought. They had three contributors in that 6’5 or 6’6 range that played their role and helped the Irish beat Duluth East. Kuseeke helped put the game away with three baskets late and he has a nice jumper that has more range than I thought. The biggest point I want to make is that the Irish are deeper and bigger than I thought.
Sean Mohabir of Rosemount. Sean was maybe the most active player I saw all day. He chased down rebounds with a constant effort and his hustle was a step ahead of everyone else on the court at most times. Defended hard and scored moving off the ball for five different baskets. The perfect hard working role player to compliment a good group of guards and wings.
JJ Ware JJ Ware 6'6" | SF Park Center | 2023 State MN of Park Center. With everybody around him putting up scoring numbers Ware found another way to help his team in a big way, aggressive rebounding. Ware has scoring potential/ability but in that game it simply wasn’t needed. But without their bigs today, Ware stepped in and rebounded in bulk. Ware rebounded well vs Eastview and then collected ten boards ripping the ball away from opponents when the Pirates beat Minneapolis South.
