A very successful Prep Hoops 250 Expo was held in Columbus this morning. It was awesome having a handful of colleges in attendance to watch the prospects battle it out. This article features the best of the best from today.

[player_tooltip player_id="809611" first="Mekhi" last="Elmore"], 5’11 PG Taft 2022: Elmore was unreal on Sunday, making 3-pointers at a much higher clip than usual. Elmore was in a zone and playing with a ton of confidence. He had the best stretch of the entire camp when he put a defender on a poster dunk and then made a 30 footer less than 10 seconds later. Elmore seems to be flying a little under the radar in terms of recruitment, he should be on every D2’s radar and low majors should be watching him as well.

[player_tooltip player_id="976076" first="Terrance" last="Pankey Jr"], 6’1 CG Ursuline 2023: Pankey was potentially the most impressive defender at the entire event, getting steals whenever he wanted to all day. I love that despite being one of the highest profile prospects at the event, his effort level was still very high. His motor will do him wonders when he steps on a college campus. I’m very confident he’s going to be the first Division I recruit from the Youngstown area in 5+ years.

[player_tooltip player_id="922592" first="Nathan" last="Dudukovich"], 6’3 SG Lakota West 2023: Dudukovich is one of the top shooters in the state and showed off that premier skill all day. Dudukovich does more than just shoot it, but it’s these skills that make his shooting so valuable. He is an excellent off ball mover and gets himself open very often. He doesn’t always need to be set up to get an open look, despite not having an isolation style game. Dudukovich had a great summer for Midwest Basketball Club and could play a great complimentary role next to [player_tooltip player_id="867934" first="Gabe" last="Cupps"] and Reed Sheppard next spring.

[player_tooltip player_id="921763" first="Justin" last="Perry"], 6’7 PF New Albany 2022: Perry was another absolute stud who was getting interest from some of the universities in attendance this afternoon. Perry had a couple dunks and knocked down the 3-ball occasionally. A good mover for his size, Perry also has a lot of skill. Translating this skill to production has been a process for Perry, but he was dominating today. Perry could be one of the better players in the Columbus area this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1282412" first="DeMarr" last="Foster"], 5’9 PG Lima Central Catholic 2024: Foster was one of the quickest guards at the event and got wherever he wanted to all day. Foster can change pace and keep defenders on their toes as nobody was staying in front of him with the ball in his hands. Foster impressed me with C2K Elite this summer and is one of the best prospects in the NW Ohio area.

[player_tooltip player_id="1082237" first="Trent" last="Hundley"], 6’5 SF Eastern Brown 2022: Another prospect that seems to have a ton of buzz around him is Hundley. Kept under the radar for far too long, Hundley is getting his due praise from colleges. Hundley looks much more athletic from where he was a year ago, jumping passing lanes on defense and throwing down dunks in transition. Hundley is a prospect you need to know.

[player_tooltip player_id="1195160" first="Hayden" last="Nahra"], 6’5 SF Mayfield 2022: I love Nahra’s game and he showed exactly why today, dominating in the game I watched of him. Nahra is a good athlete, throwing down windmill dunks in warm-ups and in game. Nahra can do a little bit of everything on the court, he handles it well, can pass it, is a developing shooter. I think he’s a no brainer scholarship kid and should be receiving a lot more interest from regional programs.
