He positions himself well on the defensive end and makes good, strong contact on his box-outs. It's easy to see why he averaged over 14 rebounds a game last season, as he more than held his own on the glass against bigger, more athletic players than he usually plays against at West Harrison. He's a high-motor forward who can stretch the floor and get to the bucket off the dribble against bigger defenders, showing a strong finishing ability around the rim with either hand.

PF [player_tooltip player_id="1167693" first="Koleson" last="Evans"] (West Harrison)

Evans' touches were a bit inconsistent on Saturday, but he showed his ability when he was able to get his hands on the ball. He's a long, 6-5/6-6 combo forward who can score from all three levels, and if he can continue to beef up a little bit, he could become a really potent stretch-4 at the next level. He is really strong in pick-and-pop situations, as he can knock down 3s routinely off the catch. Or if he can continue to tighten up his handle, he could stay out on the perimeter at the next level, as he showed some ability to break down the defense and use his long strides to get to the rim, where he finishes effectively with either hand. He rebounds the ball really well and has some potential on the defensive end. He has an intriguing size/skill combination that many smaller colleges in the area should be keeping an eye on.

PF [player_tooltip player_id="1167685" first="Vance" last="Peiffer"] (Waukee)

Peiffer flashes versatility on both ends of the floor with his long, lean 6-7 frame. He has great hands and touch around the rim, with the ability to finish with either hand effectively. He rebounds the ball well, and he's a very good defender who can switch onto smaller ball-handlers without being lost, or sit back in the paint and use his length and athleticism to protect the paint. He can also stretch the floor a bit, showing a smooth stroke from the arc.

C [player_tooltip player_id="1288914" first="Caden" last="Dewey"] (North Scott)

Dewey is an intriguing 6-10 big who moved to North Scott from Colorado. He’s a mobile big who runs the floor, switch on defense, and protect the rim. He rebounds well on both ends of the floor and is a fluid athlete with good footwork and touch around the bucket. He showed the ability to stretch the floor and knock down shots from the arc, and he really battles on the block defensively. He’ll need to add some strength to his frame, but there is a lot of potential in this young big man who could have a huge year for the Lancers.

PF [player_tooltip player_id="1167714" first="Zane" last="Witt"] (Camanche)

Another long, mobile big man who runs the floor at a high level, Witt uses his length effectively on both ends of the floor. He's another switchable big who can defend in the pick-and-roll and protect the rim, and his offensive game is developing nicely on the block. He rebounds the ball well, is a good athlete, and shows some touch on his jumper, with the possibility of adding some range to his game.
