Overtime Sports began hosting a fall league this month loaded with some of the top high schools in the Milwaukee area. I was in attendance to catch the Week 2 action, and these are some of the prospects who stood out!

[player_tooltip player_id="1129756" first="Seth" last="Trimble"] (6’2 2022 PG, Menomonee Falls)- The North Carolina committed point guard didn’t disappoint in the first two games of the day, as the jumper was falling at a high level from mid-range and three. He’s so dangerous pulling up off the dribble because of how high he elevates when getting a shot off, making it nearly impossible for other guards at this level to contest him. When attacking the basket he gets his man on his hip and it’s pretty much over from there, as he can quickly burst to finish at the basket or use a soft floater to score over the top. Defensively he showed no problem locking up smaller guards, and can defend in the post taking contact straight to the chest to either draw charges or avoid using his hands to pick up fouls.

[player_tooltip player_id="1214393" first="Isaiah" last="Allen"] (6’3 2024 G, Milwaukee Lutheran)- There’s still a bit of progress to be made over the next 2-3 years, but I really like the potential that Isaiah showed today. He didn’t back down facing off against one of the best point guards in the country, and showed that he’s a threat from beyond the arc. Knocked down multiple threes and had a couple of tough finishes attacking the basket. Showed some potential as someone who can get his own looks off the dribble, and impressed with his efforts on the offensive glass to keep possessions alive. Combination of positional size and shooting ability that could help him develop into a strong prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id="1261417" first="Kamarion" last="Ivory"] (6’3 2022 G, Whitefish Bay)- One of the day’s sleeper standouts, Kamarion faced some trash talk from opposing fans but quickly shut them down with some early buckets against Milwaukee Academy of Science. All game long he proved to be an isolation scoring threat, putting up buckets consistently in 1 on 1 situations. The jumper was smooth and was falling from three or mid-range, and he proved that he can get his own shot without overdribbling the ball. His Whitefish Bay team was missing a few players, but his tough performance pushed them into overtime against a talented M.A.S team.

[player_tooltip player_id="865843" first="Grant" last="Martin"] (5’11 2022 G, Menomonee Falls)- He started off slow in the first game, but took over in his team’s second game of the day, putting up big scoring numbers in a win. He’s quick without the ball and moves with a purpose, whether he’s backdoor cutting to the rim or curling off screens to get open looks from beyond the arc. Playing alongside arguably the best duo in the state, Grant is always ready to step up as a scoring threat when needed, and he’s a big shot maker from beyond the arc. Defensively he has the quickness to move his feet and shut down opposing guards, and he’s also put on some muscle since his junior year which will allow him to guard bigger players.

Davion Hannah (6’5 2025 W, Milwaukee Academy of Science)- After some impressive performances in the summer, Davion continued to show why he’s one of the top freshmen in the state this season. At around 6’4-6’5 he already has some nice length on the wing, but more impressive is his offensive skillset. He’s a creative ball handler capable of creating his own shot off the bounce, and he was knocking down threes at a high percentage on the day. This skill makes him a difficult matchup as most players his size can’t move their feet with him on the perimeter, but smaller defenders don’t have the length to contest him. Defensively he’s a shot blocking threat with some explosive athleticism, and he showed the potential to be a guy who can guard just about every spot on the floor at the high school level.

Qi’Andre Washington (6’1 2023 G, Kingdom Prep Lutheran)- Washington is a straight up competitor on both ends of the floor. Defensively he’s a worker who can move his feet on the perimeter, but spent a lot of time guarding in the post. His strong frame allows him to stand his ground against 6’5+ opponents, and he showed quick hands to poke the ball free every time they brought it down. Offensively he’s aggressive getting to the rim, and has the strength to shield opponents away from the ball or he utilized a quick spin move to get to the other side of the rim and finish. Against Waukesha South he scored two late baskets and then went 2/2 at the free throw line to seal the win in a tight game.

Ryan Carew (6’2 2022 G, Whitefish Bay)- An under-the-radar sniper in the 2022 class, Ryan was all business on the court. He’s extremely efficient with his dribbles, and does a nice job of limiting the time the ball spends stuck in his hands. He was either able to get off a quick shot off the catch, use a shot fake and one/two dribbles to get a clean look, or swing the ball to keep the offense moving. Ryan was knocking down shots consistently including in crunch time to keep his team in the game against a Milwaukee Academy of Science team filled with talent and athleticism. Averaged 9 ppg as a junior and should be in for a strong senior season.
