Prep Hoops is always on the lookout for solid young talent and the Phenom Summer Finale sure didn’t disappoint this weekend in Rock Hill. Lets take a look at some players from the Hoop State that stood out while we were in attendance.

[player_tooltip player_id="1087180" first="Hayes" last="Oxendine"] - East Carolina Elite 15U (pictured on front)

Oxendine is a player that you have to know where he’s at all times on the floor. Hayes is a SHOOTER and really has deep range at times to spread the defense. Oxendine is always shot ready to receive the ball and really shoots the ball at a high clip.

[player_tooltip player_id="1029969" first="Eli" last="Ellis"] - Moravian Prep - Big Shots Elite NC Ellis

Mr. [player_tooltip player_id="1029969" first="Eli" last="Ellis"] what can you say about this young man you probably don’t already know living here in the Carolinas. Eli is just like a magician at times on the floor and it shows with his craftiness all over the floor. Ellis playing several age groups up helped his squad with the 17U bracket today over the Charlotte Supreme. Ellis is ALWAYS around the ball if it’s passing it to a teammate, scoring the rock or causing chaos on the defensive end with his quick hands.

Chris Rivens - Covenant Day - Team Eat 15U

Don’t leave this young man on the floor if you do your in trouble. Rivens has good explosion to the basket and was able to get by defenders at ease today. Rivens a good sized combo guard already plays the game with a good bit of confidence. Chris can score the ball from all 3 levels on the floor.

Chadlyn Traylor - Team United 15U

Traylor has a great upside from the combo guard position. Chadlyn showed to have a good skill set along with being a crafty passer. Traylor was able to set-up his teammates along with making plays for his himself today.

[player_tooltip player_id="1220132" first="Javon" last="Williams"] - Washington HS - East Carolina Elite 14U

This young man really came to play today and dropped 39 points in the game I watched him play according to my calculations. Williams was able to score on mid-range jumpers and easy transition lay-ups. Williams made just one three pointer and scored (17) 2-pointers on his way to 39 points. Javon was great and effective getting the ball to the cup and felt very at ease at times with his play.
