With the AAU season coming to an end, it is time to take a look at some of the top players that remain uncommitted in the 2022 class. Today, we start with the 2022 Point Guards.

1. [player_tooltip player_id="996912" first="JJ" last="Starling"] - 6’2" PG - La Lumiere

Current Offers: Alabama, Duke, Maryland, Miami (FL), Siena, St. John’s, Stanford, Syracuse

Starling put up great numbers in the first week of the Nike EYBL Peach Jam for Albany City Rocks, but he did not play in a game in the second week of the tournament. Starling is one of the top ten 2022 point guards in the country at this point in time. Duke and Syracuse seem to be the names coming up the most at this point in time, and Maryland and Stanford seem to be next in line.

2. [player_tooltip player_id="870226" first="Ryan" last="Conwell"] - 6’2 PG - Indianapolis Pike

Current Offers: Appalachian State, Ball State, Bethel, Charlotte, Eastern Illinois, Evansville, Indiana State, IUPUI, Marian, Miami (OH), Middle Tennessee, Murray State, Nevada, Northern Kentucky, South Florida, Southern Illinois, Virginia Tech, Wichita State, Wisconsin-Milwaukee

Conwell has probably had the most successful summer of anyone except maybe [player_tooltip player_id="769682" first="Connor" last="Essegian"], and he has picked up offers nearly every single week. He recently broke into the Power 5/6 with offers from Virginia Tech and South Florida, and he may be able to pick up more of those during the high school season. Conwell is one of the more anticipated recruitments for the 2022 class for sure.

3. [player_tooltip player_id="870212" first="Tayshawn" last="Comer"] - 6’0" PG - Indianapolis Cathedral

Current Offers: Ball State, Belmont, Bradley, Butler, Eastern Kentucky, IUPUI, Loyola-Chicago, Miami (OH), PFW, Southern Illinois, Toledo

Comer is the leader on the court for both Cathedral and the Indy Heat team, which are two teams full of Division one talent. He averaged 12 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2.5 steals in the second half of the Peach Jam, and he really showed how he can run the floor for a team full of talent. Comer has several big offers, and he will have a ton of eyes on him during his senior season with Cathedral.

4. [player_tooltip player_id="870219" first="Jalen" last="Jackson"] - 6’2" - Fort Wayne Northrop

Current Offers: Ball State, Bellarmine, Cedarville, Grand Valley State, IUPUI, Miami (OH), Northwood, PFW, Toledo, Winthrop

Jackson had an extremely successful beginning to the summer, as he picked up several new Division 1 offers during the month of June. He has serious mid-major attention at this point in time. Jackson transferred from Carroll to Northrop during the offseason and should be in line to put up big numbers during his senior season.

5. [player_tooltip player_id="870215" first="Nick" last="Klaiber"] - 6’1" - Bloomington North

Klaiber was forced to miss the entire summer with a wrist injury, which has put a damper on all of his recruitment. Should he be back to full strength during his high school season, I would expect several coaches to be in attendance to see what they have missed. He has gone on several D1 visits to VMI, Air Force, and Ball State, but he has yet to pick up his first offer. Once he comes back from injury, the offers should start flowing in.

6. Kaden Stanton - 5’11" - New Albany

Stanton is a smooth guard who seems to make his teammates better. He is quick and smart with the ball in his hands, and his athleticism is off the charts. He hasn’t had the pick-up in recruiting that he has hoped for, but Stanton is a very impressive guard. Would be a big pick-up for NAIA or Division 2 programs in the area.

7. [player_tooltip player_id="769684" first="Branden" last="Northern"] - 5’10" - Silver Creek

Current Offers: Alabama A&M

For the first time in his career, Northern will be the primary scoring option after playing alongside [player_tooltip player_id="529572" first="Trey" last="Kaufman"] and [player_tooltip player_id="569321" first="Kooper" last="Jacobi"] over the last three years. He has a big chance to make his name known as he looks to pick up his recruitment once more. He is one of the guys who probably have the most riding on his senior season this winter.

8. [player_tooltip player_id="870218" first="Dayveon" last="Turner"] - 5’11" - Indianapolis Tech

Turner is a score-first point guard who has one of the better pull-up jumpers in the class. He can stop on a dime and rise up and knock it down in a split second. He has had some Division 2 attention from coaches this summer, but he hasn’t quite been able to break through with his first offer. I like Turner’s game a lot, and he should get some attention during his senior season with Tech’s talent-laden roster.

9. [player_tooltip player_id="870243" first="Travis" last="Grayson"] - 5’10" - Chesterton

Current Offers: IU-South Bend, Trinity Christian

Grayson is a very impressive shooter who knows how to get to his spots to score the ball. Not so much of a facilitator as a scorer, but he has shown glimpses of that. I said before the summer that he had the chance to raise himself to an NAIA point guard, and he did just that with his 2 NAIA offers. He may see some more come his way before his recruitment wraps up.

10. [player_tooltip player_id="870249" first="Karson" last="Jenkins"] - 6’1" PG - Fort Wayne Snider

Current Offers: Alabama A&M, Goshen, Huntington, St. Francis (IN)

Jenkins just picked up his first Division one offer on Thursday, and this could skyrocket his recruitment forward. He is an outstanding scorer with good handles and a quick release, and he can shoot the ball from pretty much anywhere in the gym. Jenkins is going to put up big numbers during his senior season, and this could catch the eyes of more Division one coaches.
