Prep Hoops Grind Region Finals: Saturday Recap

As we near the end of another great Prep Hoops event loaded with talent, great competition, and high level ball games. Let us take a look at some of the notables from a solid Saturday.   [player_tooltip player_id="1076405" first="Howard" last="Johnson"], 6’1 G, SSA Elite 2022 Black (Pictured): Had a really solid outing in the evening, scoring 16 points and dishing out 5 assists. Scored or assisted on 4 straight buckets midway through the second half to help push his team out to a comfortable lead. Knocked down 3 threes and attacked well against closeouts.   Decarlos Clark, 6’2 G/W, 5280 Athletics 2022: Is an energizer bunny on the floor on both ends of the floor. Made a huge steal, offensive rebound, and finish consecutively to win the ball game for his team today and finished with 17 points in the game. Brings great energy to the basketball floor for his team.   [player_tooltip player_id="1199885" first="Seth" last="Clark"], 6’2 G, SSA Elite 2022 White: Had a 23 point effort in a really hard fought win over a solid Midwest Magic Black squad. Lit it up from the 3 point line, and had some solid finishes off the bounce punctuated with a dunk to finish the game.   Wesley Oakley, 6’3 G, SSA Elite 2022 White: Had one of the best rebounding performances form the guard spot I have seen in quite some time, finishing with 14 rebounds and got countless extra possessions for his team helping lead them to a big win. Leaves it all out on the basketball floor with his effort and is a knockdown shooter.   [player_tooltip player_id="1019153" first="Drew" last="Reichart"], 6’6 F, Colorado Chaos 2022 Elite: Had one of the most efficient ball games on the day in the aterron going 10 of 11 from the field finishing with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Has really solid touch and feel for the game especially moving without the ball and gets his guys extra possessions on the glass.
