All-Tournament 1st Team:
#13 Will Hornseth Will Hornseth 6'8" | PF De Pere | 2024 State #208 Nation WI , Wisconsin Blizzard 2024 Nordgaard – As I talked about in another article, Hornseth is a very versatile big man. He is a very good scorer in the post, has good footwork, and has solid handles for his size. This weekend, in a Friday night win, Hornseth poured in 21 points and tons of rebounds. Currently ranked in the top 20 of his class, Hornseth has all the tools to develop into a solid player at the next level.
#23 Cody Schmitz Cody Schmitz 6'4" | SG Gale Ettrick-Trempeleau | 2024 State WI , PM Showcase 2024 – Schmitz was one of the best all-around scorers I seen all weekend. Schmitz showed he could score from anywhere on the floor, as well as play lockdown defense. Schmitz scored 20+ in half of the Playmakers games this weekend. Ranked 24th in Wisconsin’s class of 2024, keep an eye for out Schmitz.
#14 Taeveon Stevens, Waterloo Salvation 2024 – Stevens may have been the best ball handler in the gym this weekend. Stevens also showed his ability score. Just under six feet tall, I was impressed at his work on the boards and his ability to score in the paint. In the Salvation’s last game of the weekend, Stevens went off for 35 points. Going into his sophomore season, Stevens will be one to watch for the next couple of years.
#4 Andrew Kelley Andrew Kelley 6'1" | PG McFarland | 2024 State WI , Wisconsin Academy 2024 Elite – Kelley was another player that really impressed me over the weekend. He too, showed that he can score from anywhere on the floor. Kelley ran the point very well and has a nice shot from mid-range and three. On a loaded Wisconsin Academy team, Kelley let the game come to him and didn’t force shots. In their loss against the Playmakers in the last game of the weekend, Kelley dropped 22 points.
#1 Rocky Barfknecht, Wisconsin Crusaders 2024 Premier – Rocky is another player that let the game come to him this weekend. On a loaded Crusaders team, he benefited from the athleticism and size/skillset of his teammates. He had games of 17 points and 25, with 6 made threes in two games. Barfknecht’s stock rose a ton this weekend in Appleton.
All-Tournament 2nd Team:
#9 Carson Pendleton Carson Pendleton 6'2" | PG Kimberly | 2024 WI , Team 1848 2024 National
#0 Charlie Geske, Milwaukee Trailblazers 2024
#33 Logan Rindfleisch Logan Rindfleisch 6'5" | SF Wisconsin Lutheran | 2024 State WI , Closed Gyms 2024
#20 Robert Booker Robert Booker 6'7" | PF Waunakee | 2024 WI , Wisconsin Academy 2024 Elite
#14 Aidan Konop Aidan Konop 6'2" | SG Sussex Hamilton | 2024 State WI , ABC Young Lions 2024 Black
All-Tournament 3rd Team:
#25 Elliot Feldhausen, Wisconsin Crusaders 2024 Premier
#25 MJ Stackhouse, World Hoops Elite 2024
#10 Garrett Murphy, ABC Young Lions 2024 Black
#23 Noah Gensler, Next Level Grind 2024 Baker
#35 Jack Jacquat, Chapman-North 2024
