Winter Haven, Florida was filled with boatloads of talent making their way to the AdventHealth Fieldhouse to compete in Prep Hoops’ The Proving Grounds, a tournament where Florida and the rest of the U.S.’s best lined up to strut their stuff. Some of Florida’s top 16U standouts played their hearts out, but only 10 will make the two Proving Grounds All-Tournament teams. Choosing these teams is never easy, but these standouts all made an impact in a big way during their games. So, let’s get to it.

Here are the Proving Grounds All-Tournament Teams:

16U ALL TOURNAMENT FIRST TEAM

MVP: [player_tooltip player_id="962575" first="Aidan" last="Singleton"], Ball4Lyfe United

Singleton balled out ALL WEEKEND for Ball4Lyfe on their way to a casual 4-0 finish in the 16U A Pool. Singleton’s ability to get downhill was second to none all weekend and he has an incredible talent for finding where he needs to be to punish defenses. Singleton easily wins this MVP award and will be a guy to watch all of next season.

Jamai Tejada, South Florida Elite

SoFlo Elite’s 16U team went undefeated in their 4 games at the Proving Grounds this weekend, and Tejada was a big part of it. The young guard averaged over 20 points per game and led the charge for SoFlo Elite with his relentless downhill attack.

Dylan Kramer, Pinellas Hoops Supreme

PHS definitely boasts a well-balanced offensive attack, but Kramer was a big standout for them as they trudged to 4-0 throughout the weekend. The well-built forward was hard to stop on the low block and has the tools to punish guys of all sizes.

[player_tooltip player_id="1060163" first="Kervin" last="Knaggs"], Team TMac

Knaggs got the start for all of Team TMac’s 16U and 17U games, meaning the shifty point guard played 8 games over the course of just 2 days. He can get downhill and score with ease and body up to bigger defenders. He’s got the vision to create offense and the speed to hurt you in the full court.

[player_tooltip player_id="1055792" first="Chris" last="Moliere"], TEIO Elite

Moliere led a 3-1 TEIO Elite team to success throughout the weekend with his flashy handles and shifty motions. He can score at all 3 levels with efficiency and can really dazzle you with his crafty finishes and ball handling.

16U ALL TOURNAMENT SECOND TEAM

Randall Robinson, Florida Blaze

A guy who can kill you on the inside and outside, Robinson is one of Gainesville’s up-and-coming talents out of P.K. Yonge. He is skilled enough to play on the perimeter and can knock down outside shots, even when contested. He can also move on the block and hurt guys there with his size and large shoulders.

Marquis Curry, Dream Nation

Curry had one of the better individual tournaments, despite his team’s woes. He dropped a tournament high 37 points in a game against Central Florida Heat and can flat out score the basketball.

[player_tooltip player_id="962454" first="Ishaan" last="Bhadouria"], Ball Game Elite

Bhadouria may not be the most elite prospect in this bunch, but his contributions to a 3-1 Ball Game Elite squad were consistent and important. The wing was unafraid to go downhill and draw contact, which gave BGE a reliable form of offense all weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id="1164275" first="Malik" last="Raines"], Central Florida Heat

Raines is a big bodied guard who has the tools to finish around the rack and can shoot the ball if needed. He had multiple 20-point outings and was willing to battle for the Central Florida Heat’s two wins throughout the weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id="709258" first="Nehemiah" last="Turner"], Team TMac

The big man was soaring at the beginning of the tournament and proving why his football-style frame at 6’7" is a hard one to deal with. Although fatigue eventually took hold after 8 games (16U and 17U), the big man was a relentless rebounding presence and interior scorer all weekend.

15U ALL TOURNAMENT FIRST TEAM

Reggie Reinhardt, Stampede Elite

Reinhardt was the best player in the tournament all weekend, potentially disregarding age. The Wellington guard was unstoppable going downhill and could light other teams up from distance. He averaged well over 20 PPG on the way to leading Stampede Elite to a 4-0 record and was easily the tournament’s biggest stock riser.

Luke Goldman, SSA Soldiers

Goldman can hurt you in so many ways, and that’s what makes him so deadly. He has a reliable distance shot and can slash to the cup for easy buckets. It wasn’t SSA’s best weekend, but Goldman definitely got a chance to put his full skillset on display.

RJ Williams, Florida Elite SW

Williams led a balanced scoring effort with his scoring ability and leadership on the floor. He is a high-intensity guard who can hurt you with his IQ as opposed to pure strength or braun.

Jack Burkard, G1 Sports

Burkard looked like a seasoned vet all weekend for G1, one of the best teams in the 15U division. His pull up jump shot is butter and his ability to figure out defensive schemes was top notch.

Darren Smith, Jacksonville Trojans

The Trojans had a great weekend, and went 4-1, losing their last game in disastrously close fashion. Smith was the main motor behind the team and was integral in their success all weekend long.
