He does a nice job of getting his feet set and getting his shot off pretty quickly before the defense can recover.
Farmville Central HS Junior Jayden Pitt Jayden Pitt 5'11" | PG Farmville Central | 2023 State NC : A shifty Guard that can score the ball in numerous ways, he’s showing that he’s ready for his time to showcase his ability. He got by defenders without much of an issue, knocked down shots and plays the game with an enthusiasm that is contagious for his teammates.
New Life Christian Junior Vante Shepard: We like what we saw from him throughout this event with his ability to score the ball. The lefty found his offense within the flow of the team offense and does a nice job of taking what the defense gives him instead of forcing plays.
West Caldwell Junior Lexton Ford: It seemed as if every time his team went on a scoring drought, he was the player that found a way to score the ball and get the team back on track. Making plays off the bounce as well as off the dribble, he understands how to score the ball with solid efficiency.
Swansboro HS Senior Gerren Jones Gerren Jones 6'0" | CG Swansboro | 2022 State NC : He’s the player that makes everything happen for his squad, impacting the game in more ways than you realize. His ability to beat opponents off the dribble , knocking down shots from deep and embracing contact when he gets to the paint makes him a difficult player to defend.
First Flight HS Junior Isaac Dobie Isaac Dobie 6'3" | SG First Flight | 2023 State NC : Coming off of an outstanding sophomore season, he’s added to his game and looks to have an even better junior season. We were impressed with his ability to run a team, he was able to pick his times to attack as well as getting teammates the ball in the right spots. Knocking down the outside shot is something that we have seen from him on a regular basis and he seems to have a quicker first step which allows him to beat players off the dribble more often now than he was able to in prior years.
