It was a big week for the PrepHoops Circuit, with several stops throughout the country. I was in Phoenix checking on our Hustle Region, covering the Brawl For the Ball. The two-day event took place from Saturday, July 3rd through Sunday, July 4th. The event featured over 40 teams ranging from 15U to 17U. It also featured several quality PGs, in this article, we take a look at our top Floor Generals from the event.

[player_tooltip player_id="1056981" first="Jaiden" last="Fisher"] 5’10 All Vegas 2023 - I was impressed with a few things Fisher did this weekend. Defensively, he was his usual pitbull self, making it tough on opposing ballhandlers. Offensively he opened up his game a little more. The 5’10 PG utilized a nice mid-range jumper which he knocked down consistently.

[player_tooltip player_id="1230471" first="Fareed" last="Burton Jr"] 6’1 Team RHJ 2022 - Has a nice set of PG tools. Burton brings blow-by ability and a little wiggle with him to the court. He got to the rim at will and had no problem putting players on skates. Burton creatively finished around the basket, using the rim to shield himself from opposing shot blockers.

[player_tooltip player_id="1032376" first="Eydurus" last="Muse"] 5’10 Pal Elite 2022 (featured image) - Muse showed some good quickness, routinely getting by his defender to get paint touches. When he couldn’t create for others, he utilized a nice mid-range jumper to get buckets. The scrappy PG, was good on the defensive end, using his quick hands to get deflections.

[player_tooltip player_id="701269" first="Raydon" last="Thorson"] 6’1 AZ Junior Ballerz 2022 - I have fallen in love with Thorson’s playmaking ability. He sees the floor well and has good instincts and accuracy on his passes. If it was a stat, the 6’1 Floor General would lead the circuit in Hockey assist.

[player_tooltip player_id="827049" first="Pascal" last="Volz"] 6’1 Legion of Hoops 2022 - Volz has become an intriguing evaluation for me. The last few times I’ve watched him play, his ability to help his team win is what has jumped out at me. Volz does both the little and big things for his team. He did a good job of leading by example, distributing to cutting teammates, and finding baskets for himself, by moving without the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id="996161" first="Lashy" last="Perez"] 6’2 Team RHJ 2023 - Perez has big-time PG game. His wiggle, jumps out at you instantly, as Perez put several players in the spin cycle throughout the weekend. Once he’s done breaking ankles, he showed that he can finish with the best of them, utilizing a variety of layup packages around the rim.

Fazion Farr 6’0 Midwest Tarheels 2023 - All the Tarheels players get bonus points for running with 5 all weekend. Farr showed conditioning and skill. He has a solid frame, and a nice handle and wiggle. The scoring PG created tons of opportunities breaking his man down and scoring at the bucket. He also did it on the defensive end, showing good lateral quickness when defending on the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id="701263" first="Orlando" last="Gonzales"] 6’3 AZ Select Showtime 2022 - Every time I watch Gonzales play, I like him just a little more. The hard-nosed PG is the consummate Floor General. Gonzales protected the ball for his team and made the correct play every time he was presented with a decision. When left open, he knocked down open jumpers, when players closed he drove and when the defense collapsed he dished to teammates.
