Best of the South: Standouts Pt. 1

2022 6-5 F [player_tooltip player_id="1192667" first="Ethan" last="McIntyre"] – GA Stunners – Cass
[player_tooltip player_id="1192667" first="Ethan" last="McIntyre"] provided great energy off the bench in an OT win for the GA Stunners. McIntyre is active around the basket, able to score inside. Over the course of his career, he has improved his game off the bounce and has cranked up his aggressiveness this offseason. McIntyre battles inside and plays with a chip on his shoulder. Keeping his focus will help him have a strong senior season.

2023 6-5 W Cole Weaver – Atlanta All-Stars 2023 – Blessed Trinity
Cole Weaver looks the part. He’s a long and strong swingman that can play either forward position. He has the bounce to play above the rim and is a versatile defender. Weaver can hit the open three but does a lot of his scoring in the paint. He should take a leap his junior season.

2023 6-4 W [player_tooltip player_id="820317" first="Kyle" last="Walters"] – Atlanta All-Stars 2023 – Lovett
I liked how Walters played on Saturday. He’s a skilled glue guy that can help out in multiple ways. He is a threat from the three-point line and can crash the glass as a rebounder. What really stood out was his passing, hitting teammates on backdoor cuts.

2022 6-3 G Mason Kemp – Atlanta Wolfpack – Roswell
The utility man can play different spots on the floor thanks to his IQ and his strength. Kemp is capable of scoring at three levels. He had his pull-up jumper working against C2K Lima. Kemp uses his frame well and can block out and clean up rebounds as he plays bigger than his height.

2022 6-7 F [player_tooltip player_id="1201469" first="Jake" last="Mooney"] – Atlanta Timberwolves Green – West Forsyth
D-II schools and D-III schools will court [player_tooltip player_id="1201469" first="Jake" last="Mooney"] his senior season. Mooney is a skilled forward. He pushes the ball in transition and is a good passer for his size. Mooney shoots the three as a floor spacer but can also take his man off the bounce and get to the rack. Jake has nice footwork with his back to the basket with a variety of moves. He’s been trending upward all summer.
