The schools in Area 7 are Beulah, Dadeville and Reeltown. Here are the top five players in the class of 2022 for Area 7.
Marcus Haynes | 6-2 G | Reeltown
Haynes is an excellent team leader at the guard position. He scores well and has a solid jumpshot to his game. The incoming senior can take over the game at any moment and is able to put up 25+ points on any given night.
Gabe Bryant | 6-3 G, F | Reeltown
Bryant can play both guard and forward. The senior is great at both positions and has a high basketball IQ. With the ball in his hands, Bryant can score easily off screens and the pick and roll. But he also has a long range shot from deep and can attack the rim.
Ladarius Heard | 5-8 G | Dadeville
Heard is a terrific guard with solid size. His jumpshot is the best part to his game, and he can fly past defenders to get to the rim. From deep, Heard is a scoring machine as he can rise up and knock down any three-point attempt. He is also money at the free throw line and plays great lockdown defense at the other end of the floor.
TJ Washington | 5-9 SG | Beulah
Washington is a solid team player that can dish the ball well to his open teammates on any possession. But when he has the ball, the guard can easily score over smaller defenders and take over the game. Despite Beulah’s struggles last season, Washington was a bright spot on the team with his high level play.
Ladarrin Shealey | 6-5 C | Beulah
Shealey is a solid big man that excels down low near the rim and can protect the glass at both ends. On offense, he can grab rebounds and take a pass down low to get a layup at the rim. On defense, he is a great blocker and snags rebounds after missed shots.
