Siwek is also taking advantage of June being open for recruiting visits so he’s taken a couple trips this month.
Caleb is one of the elite shooters in the state of Minnesota. He’s a consistent scorer that hits consistently, and he really makes teams pay in the clutch (hit two game winners against Lakeville South this season). In addition to that shooting touch, Siwek is competitive, has a great feel for the game, and knows how to get open for his shot with or without the basketball.
“I’ve already visited Minnesota-Duluth, and today I went to Concordia-St. Paul,” Caleb told Prep Hoops. “As of right now, I’m hoping to get to Bemidji State, St. Thomas, Nebraska-Omaha, and possibly North Dakota.”
UMD previously offered Siwek and while at CSP, the Golden Bears staff gave Siwek a scholarship offer. How were the visits?
“UMD had a very nice campus, with very nice facilities,” Siwek told Prep Hoops. “The coaching staff up there is terrific. They have completely flipped the program around, and have a very good vision for years to come. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s in Duluth.”
As for Concordia-St. Paul…
“For CSP, I loved the renovations they were making, specifically to their basketball arena. The coaching staff is awesome, and they don’t sugarcoat anything, they tell you as it is. I love the offense that Coach Fletch has them running, and I think it fits my game perfectly. The location is also ideal right in the middle of St. Paul.”
