With these, we want to highlight 3 players who are similar in class and position. Get some time to dive into some quick thoughts, stat breakdowns, and film. Today, we are looking at 2024 Shooting Guards.
Jordan Lomax – 6’2 SG 2024 – Avon (IN)
Thoughts: From this film, we see that Lomax is a pretty good ball-handler, and he can get into the lane with ease. He also isn’t going to shy away from contact as he can finish through the defense or get to the line. He has pretty good range and can create his own shot as well as he was knocking them down from the outside. Lomax seems to be a pretty good offensive player, so he should be fun to watch over the next couple of seasons.

– 6’2 SG 2024 – Marion (IN)
Stats: 52% FG, 47% 3FG, 83% FT
Thoughts: Metzger is a very good 3-point shooter who was an outstanding 47% from behind the arc. He has a very quick release, and he is basically lights out when left open for the catch and shoot. Metzger isn’t really a physical player, but he can get inside in the paint and make plays. Honestly, Taden has the potential to be one of the best 2024 players in the state of Indiana, and it is going to be really interesting to see how he responds in the coming years as he becomes one of the focal points of the Marion team.

– 6’3 SG 2024 – Edgewood (IN)
Stats: 14.2 Pts, 4.7 Rebs, 2.4 Asts, 1.8 Stls, 37% 3FG
Thoughts: Sims is a bigger guard who can really knock it down from the outside as we saw him shoot 37% from deep. In addition to his shooting, the freshman did have a couple of times that he got into the lane and finished around the bigger defenders or knocked down a mid-range. Shooting is the best part of his game right now, but it should be fun to see how he develops in the future.
