The high school season has wrapped up and now it is time to start taking a look at the highlights from our prospects. With these, we want to highlight 3 players who are similar in class and position. Get some time to dive into some quick thoughts, stat breakdowns, and film. Today, we are looking at 2022 Guards.

[player_tooltip player_id="870295" first="Logan" last="McIntire"] – 6’4 SG 2022 – North Harrison (IN)
Stats: Not Reported
Thoughts: Despite the short highlight film above, you can tell the shooting ability to McIntire has. He had 16 in this win with four triples. He has a high release on his three-point shot. He also can put it on the floor to get to the mid-range for a pull-up jumper or floater in the paint. [player_tooltip player_id="647198" first="Langdon" last="Hatton"] will be gone next year which means that he will be the top player for the Cougars next season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1173731" first="Davis" last="Olson"] – 6’1 SG 2022 – North Central (IN)
Stats: Not Reported
Thoughts: Olson is a shooting guard with an incredibly quick release on his shot. He gets his shot up almost as soon as it hits his hands. Davis can also handle the ball enough to get it down the floor if he needs to, and he can finish with either hand on the break. The majority of Olson’s buckets did come on the catch-and-shoot threes that I mentioned before. It is unclear how much playing time Olson will get next season, but he can shoot well enough to have a chance to make an impact with enough playing time.

Dahya Patel – 6’1 SG 2022 – Lawrenceburg (IN)
Stats: 10.3 Pts, 5.1 Rebs, 2.3 Asts, 1.2 Stls
Thoughts: Patel is a solid shooting guard who can knock it down consistently from the outside. He has a smooth outside stroke and gets his feet into position before the catch. He also has the ability to use his dribble to get into the lane and find the space inside to finish. He sees the court well and takes advantage of the holes in the defense. The trio of [player_tooltip player_id="870263" first="Jackson" last="Bobo"], [player_tooltip player_id="769715" first="Garrett" last="Yoon"], and Dahya Patel may be one of the better trios in Southeastern Indiana, and that makes Lawrenceburg a threat in Sectional 29 next year.
