No. 6 Avion Pinner Avion Pinner 6'9" | PF Concord Academy | 2023 State NC | Team Loaded NC
Pinner finds himself atop the 2023 class in the Top 10 ranks after his recent move to The Burlington School. He’s got some versatility to work with and expand upon given the season he’s coming off of with Riverside. He’s a prospect with offers from Radford, East Carolina and LSU already but as evidenced by his move into 2023, he feels there’s more room to develop. He’s already quite the frontcourt prospect at 6-foot-9 that’s expanding his game to more of a creator on the perimeter. Look for his name to grow this summer.
No. 7 Silas Demary Jr Silas Demary Jr 6'4" | CG Combine Academy | 2023 State #114 Nation NC | Team Curry
Demary hasn’t skipped a beat since leading the Millbrook Wildcats to a state title. He’s shown more poise as a prospect that wants to impact the game in a variety of ways. His on-ball defense makes him an instant head turner then add in his ability to get to the rim and create off the bounce, you’ve got quite the 6-foot-4 combo guard in the making. His recent reclass to the class of 2023 should work in his favor as well. Western Carolina and Radford have offered so far.
No. 9 Tichyque Musaka Tichyque Musaka 6'10" | C Golden State Prep | 2023 CA-N | Sheed Wallace Select
Musaka is the last of the additions, at least in regards to in the Top 10. He’s a 7-foot big man that’s got a ton of promise as a high-level rim protector and offensive force in the paint. His timing to block shots and his ability to defend on the perimeter really make him a prospect with next-level promise. He’s found his way as a rim runner and floor spacer that can knock down the outside shots and college coaches are taking notice already. Illinois, Kansas, LSU and other high major programs have offered the big man already.
No. 14 Riley Allenspach Riley Allenspach 6'11" | C Providence Day | 2023 State NC | Team Curry
Allenspach is an emerging big man that’s finding his way as a frontcourt presence at 6-foot-10 on both ends on the grassroots scene. He’s got nice length he uses well to establish position in the paint and alter opposing players’ shots. He’s part of a Team Curry program that’s turned out quite the number of prospects at the next level over the last few cycles and continues to grow.
No. 18 Leslie Owens Jr Leslie Owens Jr 6'6" | SF 212 Sports Academy | 2023 FL . | PSB Elite Larkin 17U
Owens is a recent mover into the 2023 class in North Carolina after spending this past season at Sumter High School. He’s a wiry wing prospect at 6-foot-5 that’s got a ton of potential as a creator and playmaker with the ball in his hands. He’ll be a prospect joining the NC ranks in the 2021-22 cycle when he joins the Liberty Heights Institute rotation.
No. 21 Michael Nwoko Michael Nwoko 6'10" | C Prolific Prep | 2023 #142 Nation CA-N | The Burlington School
Nwoko is an import prospect out of Ontario that’s already turning heads in The Burlington School rotation. He spent this past season St Thomas More School where he created quite the buzz for himself. While replacing Kuluel Mading Kuluel Mading 6'10" | C The Burlington School | 2021 State NC is no small feat, it helps he’s 6-foot-10, 245-pound forward with tons of mobility and versatility on the offensive end. Look for his name to grow in North Carolina’s 2023 class.
