Gabe Cupps Gabe Cupps 6'1" | PG Centerville | 2023 State #80 Nation OH , 6’1 PG Centerville 2023 Midwest Basketball Club 3SSB 17U: Cupps has shined on the 17 U scene with Midwest Basketball Club, stepping up in games against some of the top competition in the nation. College coaches have taken notice as schools like Xavier, Miami (OH) and others have offered the 2023 PG. Cupps is a coaches dream from the position as he’s very poised and skilled. You can tell Cupps is a gym rat with his improved strength over the past couple years. I expect Cupps to be highly sought after when college coaches can see him in person in July.
Ryan Nutter Ryan Nutter 6'3" | PG Dublin Jerome | 2023 State OH , 6’4 PG Dublin Jerome 2023 Nova-Schmitz: Nutter is one of the better passing guards in this class and it’s even more clear when you watch him with Nova-Schmitz. Nutter is able to use his size to drive and kick and find shooters for open 3-point shots. Nutter is the guy that makes the game easy for his teammates and his passing skills should make him highly sought after by college coaches.
Michael Greenlee Michael Greenlee 5'10" | PG Toledo Central Catholic | 2023 State OH , 5’10 Pg Toledo Central Catholic 2023 Ohio Buckets-Turf: Greenlee put on a masterful display against All Ohio Red in Ohio Buckets big time victory against them in Fort Wayne. Greenlee has excellent pace from the PG position, picking his spots on when to attack and being patient with the basketball. Greenlee fits what the buckets want to do really well, which is get the ball to Austin Parks Austin Parks 6'9" | C St. Mary's Memorial | 2023 State #166 Nation OH and shooters like Logan Beaston Logan Beaston 6'4" | SG Tiffin Columbian | 2023 State OH and Jake Morrison Jake Morrison 6'4" | SG Rossford | 2023 State OH . For colleges looking for a more old school, pass first PG, Greenlee could be your guy.
Ryan Walsh Ryan Walsh 6'0" | PG Elyria | 2023 State OH , 5’11 PG Elyria 2023 TNBA -Ohio 16U: Walsh played his first two years of HS basketball at Keystone, but is transferring to a Division I program in one of Ohio’s top public school leagues. Walsh should fit in well against tougher competition as the 5’11 guard can get buckets in a variety of ways. First off, Walsh is a knockdown shooter off the catch or the bounce. Walsh also has some shake with his handle that allows him to create space to finish layups in the paint.
Grant Burkholder Grant Burkholder 5'9" | PG Newark | 2023 State OH , 5’9 PG Newark 2023 Nova-Schmitz: Burkholder was more of a complimentary piece for Newark as a Sophomore, playing alongside some talented seniors. I expect Burkholder to be the leader for the Wildcats this season though, as the Junior PG fits that role perfectly. Burkholder is a great communicator on the court and gets teammates involved well. I’ve also seen improved scoring from Burkholder this spring and summer after struggling in that department at moments during the winter when we saw him play.
