Havoc in the Heartland-Saturday Superlatives 2022’s

<p>Where to start? There was so much big time talent on display at the Havoc in the Heartland that this is by no means an exhaustive list. I stuck to one gym on Saturday so we are just looking at the class of 2022. A tue inside out scorer. Too big and strong for the posts he faced Saturday. Too skilled and accurate to check on the perimeter. Scored 26 points in a close loss to Midwest Basketball Academy. Kept it going against Michigan based United Pursuit to finish up the day. <br /> <b>Honorable Mention- [player_tooltip player_id="1106926" first="Justin" last="Mullins"] Oak Park River Forest (IL), [player_tooltip player_id="863949" first="Charles" last="Turner"] UD Jesuit (MI), [player_tooltip player_id="870217" first="Kaleo" last="Kakalia"] Mishawaka Marian (IN) </b></p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/04/Will-Grudzinski.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1177585" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/04/Will-Grudzinski-300x200.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" /></a></p> <p><b>Best Shooter- [player_tooltip player_id="1106946" first="Will" last="Grudzinski"] 6-6 Barrington (IL) </b>Put on a shooting show for a Young&amp;Reckless RL Power 5 squad that went 1-1 on the day. In the loss to Team Teague Grudzinski’s late shooting kept his team in it. Stayed hot in their victory over EG10. With his size Grudzinski was also effective rising up in the mid range when teams began to run him off the line. <br /> <b>Honorable Mention- [player_tooltip player_id="1106928" first="Max" last="Love"] St Charles North (IL) Kasey Hunt Northview (OH) </b></p> <p><b>Best Ball Handler- [player_tooltip player_id="1211144" first="Luke" last="Davis"] 6-1 Battle Creek Pennfield (MI) </b>I placed Davis on my honorable mention after the Rumble in the Rapids. After viewing him again I’m going to bump him up to the top spot this weekend. Whatever cliche you like, I prefer “ball on a string”. While he definitely likes to show his flashiness and creativity always seems to always have it under control. Put simply when he wanted to go the basket he just lowered his head and did it. I wouldn’t call him a “pretty” driver as he goes with such force he appears to shed defenders on his way to the basket. An explosive athlete in a every way. Once at the cup can finish any way he would like. <br /> <b>Honorable Mention- [player_tooltip player_id="870226" first="Ryan" last="Conwell"] Pike (IN), Layden Adair Secina Memorial (IN), Jadon Coles Lakota East (OH), Jakari Conway Holt (MI) </b></p> <p><b>Best Post [player_tooltip player_id="863593" first="Danny" last="Wolf"] 6-9 Northfield Mount Herman (MA) </b>Let’s put it this way. This young man is 6-9 200 plus pounds and I feel like I could have placed him in any of the above categories. He’s an above average passer, ball handler, and shooter for someone his size. As a player who did not play a single game of organized basketball in his junior season I feel he is just starting to scratch the surface of his potential. Illinois native who has transferred to a prep school that will play a national schedule. I could easily see his recruitment taking off in the coming year. <br /> <b>Honorable Mention- Shilo Jackson North Central (IN), [player_tooltip player_id="870216" first="Landen" last="Babusiak"] Hanover Central (IN), Louie Semona St. Xavier (OH) </b></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
