The Grit Region Memorial Classic in Columbus, Ohio was an incredible collection of talent. There were some real stars and prime time performances on the perimeter at the event. Let’s take a look at some of the players that were productive on the perimeter this weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id="1172872" first="Jordan" last="Lomax"] (2024, INB 2024 Platinum, 6-1, Avon)

Lomax had one of the most impressive overall weekends at the Grit Region Memorial Classic. He averaged 26.3 points per game at the event. Lomax stays in control when he has the ball in the lane. He finished with body control and got to the line often. Lomax is a good rebounding guard and gained extra possessions for his team.

Davarion Mitchell (2022, EAT Athletics 2022, 6-1, Saginaw)

Mitchell wanted to attack, and attack he did. He was very strong going to the rim on his right side. Mitchell showed the ability to complete plays in traffic.

[player_tooltip player_id="1076045" first="Tyler" last="Robertson"] (2023, LevelUp Basketball 2023, 5-11, Ida)

Robertson was a steadying force as a lead guard. His team was just better when he was in the game and setting the table for his team. Robertson scored from multiple levels and really liked working to his right off screens.

Keylan Smith (2025, Indiana 465 Select 2024, 6-3, North Central)

North Central has a couple of versatile physical athletes in the pipeline. Smith draws contact, gets the foul, and gets to the line. Having a defender on his hip doesn’t affect his ability to finish at the rim.

Kaisen Stevenson (2025, Indiana 465 Select 2024, 6-1, North Central)

Stevenson is a physical player that plays well with and through contact. He used his strength well shredding off defenders. Stevenson consistently went hard at the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id="1130945" first="Grant" last="Stockford"] (2023, Midwest Stampede 2023, 6-3, Clinton)

Stockford has a really good upside as a prospect. This weekend, he went hard into the lane and finished in traffic. Stockford was a high level rebounder from the perimeter, where he went up and rebounded the ball high.

Michigan Cagers Combo:

I put these 4 together because they all played so unselfishly and all had something to offer this weekend. They’re all confident shooters that are quick up and down the floor. All 4 can handle the ball and make plays for themselves and their teammates.
