The PrepHoops Circuit season continued this weekend in Phoenix, AZ with the Bash in the Desert. The event took place at Inspire courts, Friday, April 30th through Sunday, May 2nd, and showcased a total of 67 teams ranging from ages 15 to 17U. The event also showcased some quality PGs. In this article, we take a look at some of the top Floor Generals from the event.

Leeandre Ray 5’11 Colorado Anarchy 2022 - Was one of my favorite players to watch this weekend. The crafty PG had a terrific stop-and-start game. He used his change of pace to get into the paint and make solid decisions for his squad, either finishing with an array of moves around the rim, or drawing and kicking to his teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id="703827" first="Steven" last="Cervantes Jr"] 6’0 Las Vegas Olympians 2021 (#69PHA 2021) (featured image) - Cervantes’s offensive game is magnificent to watch. If this was baseball he would be referred to as a 5 tool guy. He can shoot it with range, has a wicked handle allowing him to get anywhere on the floor. He has a mid-range pull-up game and can finish with either hand around the rim. He had it all on display this weekend.

Noah Ragsdale 5’11 PG The Force (#71PHC 2021) - Sometimes you see a player that may not be scoring a lot, yet catches your eye. That was Ragsdale for me. I thought he displayed a nice handle, getting into the paint, drawing, and creating for teammates, and showed that he has the capability of shooting the ball, evident by the fact that he shot 97% from the line in H.S.

Jordan Clark 6’1 Emerald City 2023 (#21PHW 2023) - Clark was a dog this weekend. He displayed terrific blow by ability and was able to shoot it in catch and shoot action. I enjoyed watching him pass the ball the most. Clark showed a high IQ and the ability to see the game one frame ahead of his opponents, making on time and on target passes to teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id="1115933" first="Quinton" last="Christman"] 5’9 Utah Force 2024 (#25PHU 2024) - The Christman V Clark Matchup was a good one. Like the Emerald City PG, Christman showed a remarkable ability to pass the ball. He sees the game one frame ahead of defenders and is able to thread the needle with his passes. He’s a heady PG that understands time score and situation, even at this young age.

[player_tooltip player_id="701269" first="Raydon" last="Thorson"] 5’11 Queen Creek 2022 (#38PHA 2022) - Thorson is probably going on my all wiggle team as well. His separation ability can only be described as crazy. He lost more defenders than remote controls in couch cushions while playing with great pace, seemingly stopping on a dime and then restarting in an instant. He did a good job of finishing at the rim and was seemingly impossible to stay in front of.

[player_tooltip player_id="590836" first="Justus" last="Jackson"] 6’1 AZ Select 2021 (#19PHA 2021) - Someone is going to end up with Jackson, and wind up with an absolute steal. He has a D1 frame and simply doesn’t miss when left open. He’s an intriguing player because shooting is probably his 3rd or 4th best skill, however, he’s a knock-down guy that shoots it with range and off the bounce.
