The 2024 class may have only played one shortened varsity season, but it has given fans a taste of their potential futures. The group is loaded with big-time talent and some of those players have put it on full display during the AAU season. Here are the 2024 guards making an impact on the AAU season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1046909" first="Elliot" last="Cadeau"], 6’2 PG Bergen Catholic

Cadeau has been the top prospect in the 2024 class since the rankings debuted and he has not disappointed. The 6’2 guard is playing up in the 17U division for New Heights Lightning and has shown that he is not afraid of the competition. Cadeau plays with poise when the ball is in his hands and can finish in a variety of ways around the basket. He has a good release on his jumper and plays with good court vision. Cadeau recently received an offer from Seton Hall, which should be the first of more to come this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id="1153956" first="Jeremy" last="Clayville"], 6’0 CG DePaul Catholic

Clayville led the Garden State freshman in scoring and has not stopped since the start of the AAU season. The 6’0 guard has a lightning quick release and can knock down triples in bunches. Clayville is more than just a shooter as he can also handle the ball and score around the rim. He is an underrated passer and does not seem to panic with on-ball pressure. Clayville just took home the MVP in the BIG Shots 16U Orange division as he helped lead All in to the championship.

[player_tooltip player_id="1050389" first="Tahaad" last="Pettiford"], 5’9 PG Hudson Catholic

Pettiford had a solid freshman season for the Hawks, but his stock has been on the rise since the start of AAU play. The 5’9 lefty is a sniper from distance who is in range once he crosses half court and shoots the ball with confidence. Pettiford is lightning quick with the ball in his hands and is tough to contain off the bounce. He is a feisty defender as he is unafraid to go after players who are much bigger and taller than him. Pettiford picked up an offer from Seton Hall recently and he should receive more as he keeps playing at a high level for New Heights Lightning.

[player_tooltip player_id="1153997" first="Jaiden" last="Glover"], 6’4 SG St. Benedict’s

Glover has taken full advantage of the spring AAU season as he has established himself as a young talent to watch for the NY Rens. The 6’4 guard is comfortable with the ball in his hands as he can make plays in a variety of ways. Glover can finish around the basket, make good passes and can knock down jumpers from distance. His length and athleticism gives him the potential to defend multiple positions. Glover received a pair of offers from Creighton and Manhattan in April, which could be the first of more to come as the summer AAU season rolls around.

[player_tooltip player_id="1050413" first="Elijah" last="Brown"], 6’3 SG St. Augustine

Brown has been a steady presence for Team Final this AAU season as he has shown his all-around game. The 6’3 guard has a strong frame which he uses to draw contact around the basket. Brown attacks the basket strong and is a good finisher around the basket. He moves his feet well on the defensive end and is a strong rebounder. Brown’s ability to play hard on both ends is something that should help his stock as the summer months drag on.

Other Players to Watch:

Devyn Wright-Miles, 6’2 CG Trenton Catholic

[player_tooltip player_id="1050405" first="Dean" last="Smith"], 5’11 CG Watchung Hills

Anthony Farmer, 5’10 PG St. Augustine

[player_tooltip player_id="1153959" first="Dylan" last="Harper"], 6’4 SG Don Bosco Prep

[player_tooltip player_id="1050410" first="Khalid" last="Sanders"], PG Newark Tech
